I don't know what do you mean by "properly named" but here are the files.

Is there some deadline? Or one can make some more files to be included?

Well, as soon as possible would be good. Certainly by a few days before the release date for OOTP would be best but I suspect we can add them to the game even after release and have them show up in the patches.

Actually I'd never bothered to see how the names were setup and had assumed that each nationality had their own file. Since they're all just in one file you can just post any new sets as code, no need to include any .txt files. Last edited by Lukas Berger; 04-02-2014 at 02:46 PM. |

I'd be great to have a better Cuban nameset for 15. Anyone have one they've been working on?

Would also love a better Taiwanese set as the one currently in game is pretty awful.
I've made some small edits to the Taiwanese and Korean sets to get rid of some of the obsolete spellings and just plain wrong names as well as to fix some the frequencies but more improvement is needed! Also, don't forget last names. If any of you can improve any of those, please have a shot at it. |

without a doubt. Would even be listed in the changes fine print. Might even get a byline in the install log |

BTW, names are not my (or OOTP) copyright, so you are free to modify namesets in this thread as long as it makes them more realistic.
Taiwanese names are bit tricky. |

You noticed that too huh? I've been having loads of fun trying to translate them for the MLB roster set. Some of the names make little sense in Google translate and don't have an English translation available. I'm having to learn Chinese just to work on the Taiwanese rosters

I'd like to see Canadian names split for French and English namesets.

The problem is, Internet isn't too anxious to list popular Taiwanese names.

Yes, it can. The problem, though, is that the French-Canadian nameset won't show up in the in-game nation editor, and you can't make any changes in the world_default.xml to an existing game. So, if you wanted to make a change to Canada's name distribution in an existing game and use the French-Canadian nameset, you'd have to edit one of the existing namesets by substituting the French-Canadian nameset for it and then make the changes in the in-game editor.
