High End Free Agent/Wavier Prospects

Playing in build .53/Sandbox Mode.

I simmed about 7 to 8 years in sandbox mode and started an expansion team. During FA i noticed alot of high potential young players available, didnt think twice to offer contracts as i need players to build my organization thinking they would drop a few starts when signed.

After signing them i started looking at players histories. One of them was a 20/21 player who was 4.5/5 star potential former #4 overall pick. Several others were former 1st rounders. I have also noticed high level prospects being placed on waviers. I dont think we would see many of those players available via trade let alone being FA that early in there careers.

If you need league files I can send them this evening after work.

Did it happen after the .56 update? That's probably why there wasnt a reply.

I am running a test now on .56 now to see.

This looks to still be occuring with .56 and with mostly non North American Players

i noticed in path of glory mode that right after the draft lots of teams put their first round picks on waivers/ trade offers.

I'm seeing it happen occasionally in tests as well. Still trying to identify the reason.

Another thing i'm noticing are low contracts.

It was a bug, it'll be fixed in the first update. We're getting 7-8-9 million contracts in testing now.

Seeing this with the latest patch still looks to be only european players now

Hi fellas,
I am also seeing this behavior:
Playing Sandbox mode, I simulated two years ... I accepted a job in OHL, and, while browsing the NHL news, I noticed that Nashville just released their 18 yr old prospect Alfred Eriksson (drafted 2nd round @June 22 - Signed @ June 30 - released Sept. 1st).

Do you guys need a save game?
