I have a quick question. Should I put the "webcast" file where it says "diagram picture" in the game?

Yep, that's where it's meant to go.

BTW, forgot to post that I updated the utility a little bit over the weekend - I've gotten rid of the reloadable parks because that never worked as I had hoped (and I was never able to resolve it), and made some changes to the night image to fix an occasional issue where all you'd get is a white outline of the park.

I've also added an "artificial turf" surface background image if your park has an artificial surface. That's just for the day picture, the night picture still uses the same image.

This is pretty darned amazing and to think that I am only here because Eugene Church asked a question about it in the main forum! Who knew? I have to get "out" more.

Eriq, there is an anomaly in the .xml file which I am embarrassed to bring up but still, to be accurate . . .

The .xml file reverses X and Y player coordinates. That's fine. However, although the day/night player coordinates are correct, albeit reversed, the diagram player coordinates are actually mislabeled in the .xml file.

Compare these two screen shots and see if I am wrong:

D'oh! Looks like you're right. I'll have to take a look at that at some point.

Nowhere, OOTP doesn't care about it. It's just a way to spit out the park data in a human-readable format.

If I can ever get the park reloadable parks working, THEN it becomes useful because ParkGen will read it.and recreate the park. But until then, it's just for your own reference.

Another quick question...I notice the park factors generated by this utility are vastly different from the ones included with OOTP...is there a reason for this?

Witbout knowing for sure, I'd imagine that the OOTP guys used their own formulas when coming up with the park factors, or the ones they used might be normalized to the league overall. The factors that the app calculates (which should be consistent with the factors calculated if you use Gambo's spreadsheet) are done in a relative vacuum.

I'm still able to do it, so I'm not sure what's happening for you. Can you click on the image and then nudge it using the arrow keys?

Nope, i can`t..I`ll try restarting the pc and if that doesn`t help i`ll try to use the program with Opera (Explorer did not work either)

Anyway, thanks for making this awesome utility

I noticed this utility has "carry" factors and if you enter a city, it will enter carry factors. My understanding is that weather is now taken into affect separately from ballpark factors; so, should we just enter "0" for carry, since the game not takes care of that?

Yep. The images are the "backdrop". You have to manually enter all of the numbers in by hand.
