Toronto Maple Leafs - Road to The Playoffs!

I miss writing a dynasty mode, so I will create a new one. Started from March 5th.

Toronto Maple Leafs

5 year action plan
  • Year 1 - Assess the team, start rebuild.
  • Year 2 - Continue rebuild.
  • Year 3 - Let the rookies develop.
  • Year 4 - Should be a playoff contender team
  • Year 5 - Should be a Stanley Cup contender team

Goals for 2013-2014 NHL Season
  • Start rebuilding
  • Rebuild the farm team
  • Get a good draft position

General Manager

Roster

Toronto Scouts (and assignments)

Farm Team

Man with Clarkson being a 6.5 and that horrendous contract, I'd take whatever you can get for him.

I agree, And clarkson tends to fall in ability quick. He has a contract you just want out sad to say.

Don't forget to add in the logo pack!

Scorched earth rebuild.

Don't listen to the Clarkson haters! He's a valuable trade chip!

As something of an expert on dumping his sorry backside on unsuspecting GMs, I can tell you that it is possible to turn David Clarkson into useful, or even valuable, players. You just have to work for it.

I don't want to spoil your game, so I won't tell you who I traded him for, but I would recommend looking towards Chicago and Calgary. They tend to be a little naive in the ways of the Clarkson...

If you keep saying it, one of these years it's bound to be true :P

Normally, I would agree. In some of my other years, Clarkson has dominated (in top 5 for points). Mind you, these had injuries disabled and he managed to play 82 games. I am hoping his value might increase a little and I can get a decent piece. Or I could package something and get a bigger fish. There are some possibilites, considering how the AIs value young guys :P (Heck, did you see the Strome for Glencross trade in my game :P)

I agree. I just need to be patient and wait for the right deal. Or I could package him and possibly get a better return.

Resigning: Jay McClement

Contract Details:

I was hesitant to give him the NTC but I figured he would be my bridge centre, as I don't have any decent C prospects.

Trade Proposal: (Declined)

Counter Proposal:

Andrew MacWilliam (LD/RD) 6.0a/6.5 for Mathieu Brodeur (LD/RD) 6.0d/6.5d

Looks like it will be a lateral move but I do like the size difference between Brodeur and MacWilliam. And Brodeur is a free agent after this year, if he doesn't fit in with the Marlies.

[Status] - REJECTED.
