Who plays as the coach? And why?

Just wanting to see who plays as the coach and if you do, why? I've been thinking of giving it another try, kinds tired of the head coach not putting certain players I obtain to play in the top line, but they just end up playing on the third. Or they'll play my fourth center at the wing and the winger will play center.

So let me know how you play, and if you coach, why do you choose to do so.

The AI coaching is flat out broken. The way that players are used has no rhyme or reason. Border line AHLers log 20+ minutes on the first line and four and five star players languish on the fourth line.

Something is seriously wrong with this iteration of the game. They broke AI coaching and have made just playing as a GM no longer a feasible option.

I would love my money back. This no longer works as a General Manager simulator at all.

I do, mainly because I like to control all aspects of the game, and the fact that in GM only my coach selects a very questionable line up...

I like to set the tactics, training... and make in game changes to them if i'm down a goal or 2...

it takes a bit of time at the start of every year...

I normally set lines and everything but then sim the game, let AI actually handle game situations.

Don't quote me on this, but I THINK this guy is saying that he plays as the coach. I think.

I play as the coach and GM......I just think it's more fun being more "hands on" as I progress through the season.

I play as coach, because it's half fun and strategy of the game.
