Cmon, everyone knew that "studs and duds" led by Cy + Walter was the best chance to win this tournament. It doesn't take a genius to figure out cap strategy.

It was a free shot at an uber elite card with a ton of variance built in so that nearly all teams got a spin of the wheel. People were excited. Not sure how there can be complaints. I hope there's something similar every week.

I think he’s an interesting card that can certainly give you a solid #5 and backups to DH and outfield

Ok, I can't argue that.

I was talking about sharpk who used Rogan as a DH (with 100 Walter Johnson as the alternate). A really "sharp" move (pun intended) but then Rogan and Walter both hit less than .200 for the entire tourney. One of his irons could probably have done that.

However, sharpk won and I was bounced in the first round (by the eventual runner-up) so what do I know?

Please discuss, even argue with each other without the swearing and name-calling or we will need to hand out warnings in addition to deleting posts.

Thank you

Yeah, it's hard with the way tournaments are set up, in the sense that position training is absent, therefore we find ourselves having to sometimes sacrifice going all in in one area vs balancing that with a player that can serve two or even three roles (25 man rosters hurt here), more so if one can pitch... I'm in the line of thinking that Rogan is one of those cards that are goiing to be cookie cutters in most teams...add Cedeno and Torrientes to that since they can both play 'well' all OF positions and one's a LHB and one a RHB.... i think players like this are going to have to be used more on more if we want to min max.... too early to tell, but we'll see.

Dihigo is another that plays everywhere and can pitch as a reliever. Ruth (100) can pitch pretty well and he hits ok too.

Yeah, I exited in the second round, to Snaggle's team. Macacks, your Warbirds face my Southpaws in late rounds in many of these cap tournaments (you always have really well-made cap teams) but it was not to be, in this case.

Just posted in the other thread about this. I wonder what our H2H record is?
