Cristobal Torriente Wrong Ratings Import

When doing an individual import for Cristobal Torriente (torrie049cri) 1920 or 1921 his ratings are clearly low (half a star overall and potential). His personal details are correct but he has no real stats and his rating don't match up with the Cristobal Torriente in a new historical league startup, that has higher ratings and shows his real stats, despite having the same historical minors ID as the individual import. When doing the individual import I have include minor leagues checked. It's in a one year recalc settings.

Any ideas? Possible system error? Or am I not doing something right? I've added Oscar Charleston and Bernardo Baro individually and they seem right.

There are so many various answers to your question due to the way OOTP up to 22 treats NeL players, each of which would part way offer an explanation.

In short, however, I would suggest the main problem here is that CT only played a handful of games in the NeL in 1920, with Seamheads giving him just 270 PA in the NNL for 1920, with the rest of his time spent in Cuba, which the game doesn't recognise. Therefore, on import much will depend upon your "adjust" / "weaken" settings. If you have them set for >270, he will be affected.

This barely touches the surface of a much-discussed issue that has, at least to some degree (although still, from what I can tell at this early stage, far from satisfactorily) been addressed in 23.

Thank you for your reply. I did try importing CL with no weaken settings and nothing changed. The odd thing is that CL's real stats are missing on an individual import. When CL gets imported through a league historical setup it imports just fine. Something seems amiss with CL's individual import

OK, on his batting stats page - do you have "All Levels" selected? His stats should look like this. This is for 1912 import.

What version of OOTP are you using to import? On OOTP 21, 22 or 23 I can't get CT's real stats. I get his real bio (city of birth, nationality, etc), but no real stats and a pathetic rating. The strange thing is on OOTP 21 I get Oscar Charleston to import correctly but on 22 and 23 I don't. When I do individual imports I select the historical_database.odb file to import files from. Are you using this database too?

Yep - make sure you check the include minor league DB option.

I'm on v22.

Yes, I always include it. Oh well, for now I'm just going to have to file this in the unsolved mysteries folder
