just wait guys on this.

this roster is old by halofan. just Wait.

halofan is coming out Tonight 4/6/05 his new updated opening day real roster for 2005, with a 2005 schedule and updated stats, etc.

then Eriqjaffe will have available a new installer available to download

Anyone know if it is possible for me to download this all-in-one thing, and then unzip a different roster set instead of halofan's. No offense to halofan because i appreciate his work and have used it in the past, but there are other ones that I prefer. Any help would be appreciated.

yes.

1) first copy the Logos and Photos folders inside the MLB roster 2005 for ootp.lg folder

and also copy park. dat file and parkconfig.dat files inside the MLB roster 2005 for ootp.lg folder

2) delete mlb roster 2005 for ootp.lg

3) paste everything you copy inside your roster.lg folder

the park and parkconfig dat files is need to make the eriqjaffe's MLB parks come up correcty and correct park factors.

and you need the photos of the players and logos too.

Here's an accurate schedule.dat file, just unzip it and overwrite the schedule.dat file in your MLB 2005 for OOTP 6.lg directory:
Attached Files
File Type: zip schedule.zip (20.6 KB, 500 views)

Just curious...is an updated roster due out today? I told my son I would set this up for him (along with Catobase) and have it ready when he gets home from school. Thought I would wait if the roster is going to be updated. Thanks for your work on this!

I thought Halofan was going to have an updated roster up last night, but his site doesn't have anything new yet. As soon as I see it, I'll have an update...hopefully pretty soon.

Okay, maybe I'm an idiot, but I've unzipped and run the setup program...

...but when I open OOTP, I can't figure out how to start a league using these rosters, etc. I've searched, and I can't find the answer.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Once you hit "continue league" then go to "open league" from the dropdown menu and choose the MLB 2005 or 2005 MLB (cant remember which) and it should then load after that.

Thanks for the help. It worked.

I don't know why I didn't think of that before.

I'm a little confused about the league also. I noticed that the Braves only have a handful of players on the big league club. I think D. Lee is the only pos player on the Cubs. Where are all the other players?

They are there, I just think the lineups and roatations are not set. Go into the league setup section and have all teams set to CPU or AI (whichever it is) and then AI should set every teams lineup and rotation.

You can then manually go to whichever team you want set the control to human and change their lineups and rotation.

edit: you would probably be better off to wait for the new version of the installer as the version currently out there still has the 2004 schedule.

No problem, it is a little confusing, you would think there would be a way to load another game from the main menu. AFAIK, there is no way to do that, the game just loads the last league played.

markprior22, there's also something like ToadFreak's rosters. They're correct as of Opening Day and based off of Halofan's. It'll probably be pretty close to HaloFan's rosters anyway

You could also grab my rosters, accurate up to April 4, 2005 schedules, and none of those annoying "fake" stats for 2004 on the previous year screens.

http://www.nibabaseball.com/CubbyFan_4_5.zip

Anyway I could get a new copy uploaded to somewhere else?
