yes that is IRL true but you will notice that no split affiliations exist. They are all unaffiliated in game terms. So are affiliations that exist in the year before the MLB team plays its first franchise game. IRL and OOTPFL do not always match. Like my socks.

My point was simply that rjl518 was technically correct. (The best kind of correct!)

Historical Roster Issue

I am playing a historical game with the 1988 Tigers and I happened to see a player by the name of George Bonilla who won the NL Player of the Week for the San Francisco Giants. When I opened his stats, they were actually Bobby Bonilla's of the Pittsburgh Pirates. I looked up George Bonilla and he was a pitcher in the San Francisco Giants minor league system at the time. However, in the game, he is a right fielder.

This looks pretty similar to the Dennys/Chris Gomez issue I mentioned earlier. Those Giants minor leaguer pitchers sure do like stealing identities!

It turns out that Bobby and George Bonilla were born 3 days within each other, in February 1963. Maybe there's a import/merging script that needs to be adjusted?

Historic Player Stats

Not sure if it belongs here but:

Historic Player with incorrect stats

Levi Meyerle, for the 1873 season shows him with 23 strikeouts. That is 23 too many for that season.

(corrected typo - 1873 not 63)

I imported 2002 with real minors and noticed that while Bartolo Colon and Lee Stevens were on CLE and MTL respectively, the prospects MTL traded to CLE (Grady Sizemore, Cliff Lee and Brandon Phillips) were already in the CLE organization.

I started a historical league with the new minor league players included option. The one thing I noticed when getting to the draft was that everyone sucked. It seems like all the hitters I looked at only had minor league stats listed under real life stats. All the major league stats for real players are gone. I did see some pitchers with both minor and major league stats under real life stats. So for instance, in the 1994 draft Hideo Nomo was the first overall pick and only had MLB stats under RL stats so he was fine. But Miguel Tejada was a 5th round pick and only had minor league stats under RL stats and really sucks. He has a 35 contact, 45 Gap, 35 power, 40 eye, and 60 avoiding K's. He is just a prime example of how all actual real MLB hitters are turning out. I can understand the guys who never made it to the Majors sucking but guys who had good or great careers suck too.

The more I look it seems that the MLB pitchers are being rated off their real stats which are being shown under RL stats and hitters off minors with no MLB stats listed under RL stats. Hope this isn't to confusing. But, basically hitters suck and pitchers are fine. Thanks!

Starting a 1947 season, the game has Joe Dimaggio as a 1st baseman (played exactly 1 game in his RL career there), and gives him no outfield ratings.

A few anomalies regarding fielding ratings in 1947:

About two-thirds of all catchers have a Def rating of 80.

No outfielder has a Def rating higher than 55 and only two have 55.

Infielder ratings are more or less okay, maybe a little high on the average.

(The rating scale I used is 20-80 of course)

Ben Zobrist is missing from the 2015 Royals Historical Exhibition team.

EDIT: He is missing when you create a custom matchup, but not when selecting to replay the 2015 World Series.

1910 Cubs - Wrong "Big Jeff" Pfeffer

If you replay the 1910 World Series in the historical exhibition the Chicago Cubs have the wrong Jeff Pfeffer on their roster. The Jeff Pfeffer on the roster never played for the Cubs. It was his older brother Francis who played for them that year. Both men were nicknamed "Big Jeff" confusingly.

If you start a historical game in 1910, then the correct "Big Jeff" is on the Cubs roster.

The 2004 Red Sox have two copies of Kevin Youkilis, one in the majors and one in the minors.

Sorry if this has already been reported, but J A Happ and J.A. Happ are being shown as 2 different players in my 2014 Jays historical test file.
