With just the score line it is really hard to tell what went wrong there.

Well, Sebastian, this is game 7 of the stanley cup finals, not the all-star game... Chance we'll ever have an 11-6 score for a final game is pretty much zero in any professional league.

I ran into this scenario today - any tips?

My #1 goalie got hurt (out for 3 weeks), so I had to call up a goalie from my AHL team to fill in. My backup got hurt the very next game (also 3 weeks). Thus, I only have 1 goalie on my NHL active roster (my AHL call-up).

Since today is game day, I need to have another goaltender in my lineup in order to advance the sim to the next day.

I figured I'd just call up another AHL'er, but realized that none of my remaining AHL or ECHL goaltenders have NHL contracts.

Now I'm stuck, because I can't advance to the next day until I fill out the roster, and I can't fill out the roster until I sign a player (which takes more than one day). Also, the trade deadline has passed.

I even tried to dress a defenseman as the backup goalie but it's not allowed

So as of now, I basically just can't play the game...

PS - may be relevant for figuring out how this can happen: Not long before the first injury, I sent a goaltender from the NHL active roster back to junior (he was a deadline-day pickup).

Looks like you got to a very rare scenario.
In the NHL if this happens what they do is sign someone the same day on an emergency deal that lasts for 1 day.

I don't know what you can do, but this scenario is something that should be looked in future versions of the game IMO

I've got an error in my game (v. 1.6.19) on my Mac (OS X v. 10.9.5) where I can't get past my game on Sept 28th, 2018. I tried playing the game that I have on that day, and the program crashed ("Franchise Hockey Manager 14 quit unexpectedly"). I then tried just simming past the day, and I got the same error.

Not sure if this has been reported yet, but I noticed that offsetting fighting majors are counted in the teams power play chances.

Any word on a fix that causes some of us to have a game crash on October 2 of our 2nd season? I really don't want to start a whole new game just to have it crash so I haven't touched it since...its unplayable right now..I did notice on the load saved game screen next to my season name there is no league or last save date listed

Hey, I can't seem to load a specific game file that I want to play. New games and other saved files work, but no dice on this one. Any ideas?

Not sure if this will work, but give this a try:

go to your \Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 2014\config directory and delete settings.dat. This will force the game to build a new, valid version of it (with the default settings) the next time you start it.

Nah it doesn't. I get the same thing. The game loads to 100% then crashes and says "FHM is no longer working" then shuts down.

I have no open contract offers left, so it's kinda confusing, since I don't know what's right and what's wrong. Might be quite annoying to realize, that your team's overcapped when the 1st game of the season starts, and you have to waive players you normally wouldn't, cause you thought your cap is fine.

I would also like to know the answer to this.

I have one that crashes on Nov. 15 of second season. Sound similar. No status on mine.

I haven't played this game for months and now I decided to try again.

But, when I was giving that activation code, I got this:

The game could not be activated, please try again in a few minute

This is a known conflict with new Mac OS... Please PM me your order details and I can provide you a Steam key in order to keep playing.

So I just finished the regular season with 65 wins and 132 points. In the 1st playoff round I'm playing the 8th seed who had 86 pts. I lose 2-4 while giving up 24 goals (!) in those 6 games, at least 3 in every game.

Realistic.

(Also, I'm crashing the game and playing it again)

My game crashes constantly in steam as the mac version does not natively activate in os x, even after verifying the game and reinstalling numerous times. What really ticks me off though is nobody has ever responded to my support request at all. I've uploaded everything to the FTP but still 0 response. It's made me question why I ever would again buy a product from OOTP after being a long time buyer of OOTP baseball as well as this.

Hi, sorry of this is posted in he wrong place. My issue is that when I start the game it is full screen but the interface is tiny. I have tried all the screen resolutions in the game to no avail. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game with no change. Im sure I am missing something but cannot seem to figure it out. Any ideas?

Playing a historical game started in 2001-02, and I get this report after always crashing when I try to advance from June 30, 2007 to July 1, 2007. Not exclusive to this save, and has happened before. If it helps, the Playoffs never actually take place in 2007 either.
