Full credit to oman19!

1-20 is what I use too. because I like it. Because it is familiar, the setting I have used for a while. I was wondering what other people's preference is, and what results they get. I remember using the 1-100 setting back in the old old days. That seems a bit too easy to me...

I still use 20-80 for everything because it has a true middle and I like just enough muddle in scouting for me to be swayed by 5-6 pts as opposed to using a 2-8. Edit: I have gone back and forth on whether to use stars in the overall/potential though. I haven't gone 100% either way on that one.

I've dabbled with 1-10, 1-5, 2-8 but 1-20 I find I like the most.

Enough fog of war but more possibilities for players to be unique than 1-10 or 2-8.

I've done stats only a few leagues and I've used 1-5 for potential, defense, and speed ratings

Isn't 10 a "true middle" from 20?

I've continued to evolve over the years... When I first started (OOTP 6) I was an 80 guy. Once the multiple scouts system was introduced (OOTP8 or 9) I switched down to 20.

For the first time ever, I'm going to do 1-10 this year. I keep reading posts from guys who swear by stats-only. I don't think I could ever totally abandon ratings, but this is maybe the next best thing? There's a lot of gray area with the smaller ratings scales.

An added bonus is that my all-time favorite console baseball game was Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball on SNES... which happened to use 1-10 ratings!

I started out playing 1-100 and realized that was much to easy. Bumped down to 1-10 and didn't see enough variety. Went up to 1-20 and it was like Goldey Locks pourage...it was juuuuussssttttt right.

Stats only. I show defensive ratings and speed though 1-10.

I was currently playing with 20-80 but wasn't a big fan.

Credit to oman but I'm trying 1-20 this game with scouting and coaching on to see how I like it.

I use 1-20 since I'm new to the world of ootp and have no clue what I want and prefer

Either I use no ratings (aside from 1-5 for defense and speed and such), or for leagues where I use ratings I use 1-10. I found OOTP through a pseudo-online league and that league used 1-10, so I've stuck with that number throughout my OOTPing.

I only use 1-100 - it makes sense for me since I don't run a team or use scouting, and just follow the players. I'm sure if I did use scouting I would use 1-20 or something.

I like 1-10 - vague enough where you still have to use stats to figure out exactly how good a player is but broad enough that you can tell at a glance what a player's strength and weaknesses are.

2-8 when I play with ratings on, which I often do not. I like not knowing things!

Stats Only for everything. Only exception is the draft when I use 2-8, although I have contemplated going to 20 - 80 in the draft.

1-10. I tried 100 and 20 and just found it too clear who was better than who, tried 1-5 and nearly everyone was 3 or 4 at everything so was pointless.

I have done stats only and like it, but it is generally too much like hard work, especially for a Brit who doesn't even know what all the stats mean.

1-10

I used to use the default 1-20, but I like how using 1-10 gives me a bit more challenge, especially if I have two close players with ratings, makes me use stats as the tie breaker.
