JULIO CESAR BORBOA JBW
Hometown - Sonora, Mexico 24(22)-6-0 This hard hitting Mexican was a force in the Jr. Bantam ranks from 1990 to 1994. During that time, Borboa won the IBF Jr. Bantamweight Belt with a twelth round TKO of Robert Quiroga who was 20-0-0 prior to their bout. Borboa went on to defend his title five times bfore losing a split decision to Harold Grey. The rematch, which proved to be Borboa's final fight, was also a split decision with Grey again getting the nod. His first 16 victories were all stoppages and Borboa was only stopped twice himself. (Cauthtemoc Gomez and Pablo Valenzuela who were both undefeated when they fought Borboa)

Conn, if your list on page two is up to date, I'll help rate some fighters since I'm in between projects. If you don't mind, I'll start at the bottom and work my way up.

The list is up-to-date and that would be fantastic Scot! I am working from the top down so your orientation is just right. As always, any file posts are more than welcome.

VICTOR BARELA FW
Hometown - Farmington, New Mexico, USA 7(2)-0-1 Barela is a young and promising featherweight that fights out of the Hideout Gym in New Mexico where he was a sparring partner for Danny Romero. Barela had a 92-10 amature record before turning pro at the age of 18. He has only fought 8 times in the last three years mainly due to bad luck with several no-shows and cancellations associated with his scheduled bouts. It is too early to tell how far he will go, but young Victor does appear to have better than average skills. He has 2 stoppage wins to-date, but has scored several knockdowns in his decision victories.

JEM CARNEY LW
Born - Birmingham, England 3(3)-1-1 Carney won the Brittish Lightweight Crown in an 1884 hard fought battle with Jacob Hyams when Hyams collapsed in his corner following the 45th round. He laid claim to the wolrd title when he stopped Jimmy Mitchell in the eleventh round. Both titles slipped from Carney's grip when he was disquallified in a bout with Dick Burge. Apparently, Carney was ahead when the referee awarded the bout to Burge on an alleged foul which the crowd dissagreed with. I do not know if skullduggery was claimed. Carney fought a lot of exhibitions and non-queensberry matches as well. He had one terrible embarrassment in 1887 when he fought what was supposed to be a promotional bout with Mike Daly for a real bout the two were to fight the following evening. In three rounds, Carney was beaten so badly that he was unable to fight in the scheduled bout.

RALPH CALLOWAY LHW
Born - California, USA 1(0)-5-1 The ring wasn't kind to Ralph during his brief career. He was knocked out by Sam Langford in the fourth round of their 1911 bout. One month after the loss to Langford, Calloway selected another tough opponent in Battling Levinsky; the two fought a 10 round no decision. Ralph should have known that the boxing Gods weren't going to smile on his career after a bout he had with Battling Johnson. Calloway put Johnson down SEVEN times in the fourth round but Johnson clawed his way back and took poor Ralph out in the seventh!. Following his first and only career win (over Dummy Burns), Calloway decided to call it a career.

WALTER BURGO MW
Hometown - Boston, Massachusetts, USA 4(1)-4-0 Burgo picked up three early wins against complete stiffs, then suffered four successive knockouts to Rube Ferns, Spike Sullivan, Charley Hitte and the great Sam Langford. He picked up another win by way of disqualification against everyone's favorite opponent Mr. Joe Grim.

BOBBY BURNS FLY
Hometown - Dallas, Texas, USA 3(0)-9-4; 4 NC Bobby Burns seemed to fight the same folks over and over again. He had a 0-2-2; 2 NC record against Battling Al Murray and had a 0-2-1; 1 NC record with Young Kid Zulu. When Burns fought Johnny Ertle in 1916, Ertle was supposedly defending the World Bantamweight title that he claimed to hold. While it may not be believable that Burns was qualified to to receive a title shot, it is certainly understandable why Ertle would have wanted to defend against Burns. In any event, Burns was stopped in the fourth and continued his unimpressive ways after the "title shot".
