Negro League Rules?
It is great to have the Negro Leagues among the "minor" leagues in the new version of the game !
And I must say, and I am sure I sound stupid, there is something moving about being able to unclick the color barrier... I do have a question about the option to keep or unclick the Negro League Rules - I have read the online manual but haven't found what these rules refer to, so I don't know what the consequences are of leaving or unclicking them. Also, if one lowers substantially the cost of purchasing the rights to players from minor leagues, will that lead to getting more of the Negro League players into a Historical Major League? |

If you click to leave the color barrier on, NO Negro league players will be allowed into major or minor leagues until after the 1948 season, the year that Jackie Robinson goes to the major leagues. (Not the year he signs with Brooklyn and goes to their minor league Montreal team.) It is also after the 1948 season the negro Leagues cease to exist in the game and the color barrier is completely removed automatically.
If you uncheck it, then Negro League players will be available for all leagues in your game. It also means your Negro Leagues will be integrated. If you click to keep the color barrier, it probably doesn't allow purchase of players automatically. But to be certain, i always turn that option off when keeping color barrier active. i don't think the price of the players, as long as it's in line with other AAA teams, will make much of a difference for the Negro League players purchases. If they are quality players, the majors will gobble them up, as with any other league.

Thank you. I appreciate the clarification. I was asking also about a separate option - not the color barrier which I unclick. But "Negro league rules" which is a different options. We have the option to unclick these but no idea what these rules are.
