having troubles with schedules.

Its my first time working with schedules other than the generate schedule button. I have an American and National League, each with 16 teams, trying to load 150 game balanced schedule with no interleague play. Ive tried the schedules that match this and tried to create my own based on what I see in the manual, but I continue to get an error message about it not being the correct structure. Ive tried loading to the leagues individually and tried to create one for both leagues combined, and all say it doesn't fit the structure, but it seems to me like it does. Any help would be appreciated.

When ootp mentions structure, it's talking about the schedule's element line (Always the second line in the .lsdl file) not matching your games structure and/or your schedule options settings.
Things that might not match the schedule your trying to import:
For schedule options on your lgs. schedule options page:
# of games
Balanced games (either Y or N)
Interleague play (either Y or N)
For structure:
# of teams, divisions, subleagues don't match (this has to be exact)
These are the only things that would give that error and prevent the schedule from loading.
Also, schedules can only be loaded safely during pre-season.
Hope this helps
