Question about Potential and Scouting your own players
I am totally new at this. But not to sports sim games so I get a bit frustrated when the developers sometimes make it unnecessary difficult.
Tried googling and reading manuals but no luck. 1. I wanna scout my own players again. This time using a better scout than in the report I already got. So on scouting menu at the players page we have a button. Change scout it says. All good except for nothing happens when pressing it. I tried changing the settings to me handling scouting instead of the assistant. I also recalled the scout I wanted to ask for a report from his current other mission. Nothing happens. What am I missing? 2. Why by God do they use two different Ability/potential 1-5 settings without explaining the difference? Concensus Op versus Report. Other than that it looks like an interesting game. Thanx! |

If you look a little further down the forum, there's a couple of good write-ups about how to scout. We actually just covered Scouting in our Quebec Nordiques series again. Scouting is best to be set up and left alone. You either control it all (and set people to permanent) or you let the AI handle it. What you do is your choice. You need a lot of scouts to cover a variety of leagues though. If you want specific people scouted, put them on your shortlist and have a scout scout your shortlist. 2. One is what the general idea from the ingame scouting thinks a player may become, while the other is what your scouts tell you. Always trust your scouts the most. If you rely solely on Central Scouting, you're going to swing and miss a lot. Also just because this may come up again: Quote:
