I recently downloaded the game on the app store, and now when I try to open the app it quits unexpectedly. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

i can tell you have a ton of people downloading, atm.

usually get 3.5MB/s and only 350kB/s to 600kb/s now

I got downloaded the new update on my Mac and it doesn't feel significantly faster than before. Is that a mac thing because i read a bunch of PC guys saying theirs is going loads faster?

I would just like to commend Spritze for fixing up the historical 2015 neutralized pitched stats issue. He did a great job, and we're really lucky to have his database wizardry.

the large increase in speed was for certain older chips. it was taking 22-30mins to sim a year. now it's less than 9. i bet it gets down to 7 or less by the time it's finished.

that's a little longer than '16 for me. if your getting the same speed as '16 or faster you're good to go.

It was probably removed because Markus said they were working on a hotfix, this last patch screwed up on FA so the people that did not download it can continue on playing without their game getting fubar.

I'm not sure why, but my sim speed is painfully slow, Granted I'm working with an AMD FX-6350 but it is overclocked to 4.6ghz.n It should work pretty darn fast with multi-threading cap[able programs. It certainly isn't any faster than OOTP16 for me and probably even slower. I'm working with Historical Leagues right now with minors and I am 20 season into it, but it seems to me that this thing should be simming much faster

I am planning on installing OOTP on my office CPU tomorrow & I've always pre-ordered & never bothered to install on a 2nd system.

Do I use my original pre-order link to install on the other CPU & then update? or do I download the latest link (17.4.36)?

You could just download the latest link (17.4.36). I'd recommend waiting until the next update comes out today though, as there was a pretty big bug in 17.4.36 involving free agency. Once they post the new link, I'd download and install from that one.

The new builds should be coming out within the next few hours. I'd suggest waiting for them if you can. Sorry about the problems
