How does this end?

I might have missed it but how and when does PT for OOTP19 end?

Will the servers be shut down when OOTP 20 PT starts or will they keep going for a while?

Thanks!

The OOTP staff has said they "plan" to keep the servers running for a year, but that might of course, be dependent on how many people are still playing their PT1 teams.

What I was told by Markus is OOTP 19 will run at least one more year and then will be evaluated to see how many people are still playing it. So we have at least one more year.😁

Anyone gonna stick around and wait a while before going to 00TP20? I thought I would until I saw the improvements in PT 2.0 and decided to jump on the pre-order bandwagon.

I'm going to move right away - starting two new teams, but will keep an eye on the Hawks maybe once a week.

I will spend more time in 20 but I will be still watching and guiding the Yaks at least for a while. Too much emotional investment to completely desert them.

I'm staying, probably in Bronze until they pull the plug.

I am staying here and also expanding to two teams in 20 with staggered starts. A 'launch' team and then a team maybe sometime in the summer.

I will still check on my 19 team once or twice a day. People act like its such a chore
It takes 10-15 minutes to look at PP earned, game scores and see where your team stands.
I don't do a lot of shuffling of rosters because it makes no sense to do so and I don't carry a deep roster of reserve players.
So 19 will take 15 minutes of my day and then maybe 30-45 minutes on Sunday to open packs and change out any players as needed.

Definitely staying but definitely - or at least, hopefully - pulling back on how much time I spend on this thing.

I will be staying put. I am trying to drop as far as I can before building my team back up.

Is there an option within PT in OOTP19 to disband a team? Can't seem to find it.

@Sandmann76

No, there isn't a function to disband a team

(In German: Nein, diese Funktion gibt es nicht, dein Team wird weiter simuliert, mit und ohne deinen Einfluss, Gruß aus Bad Vilbel)

I think the idea of shutting down the servers is inconsistent with the whole idea of OOTP, which is all about watching your franchise evolve over time and accumulating careers worth of stats. I'll probably be trying to guide and improve my M-Stars (all players whose last names begin with M) until they pull the plug, and I doubt I'll be happy when they do so.

Seeing the title of the post I thought this was about the Avengers end game.

Looking for a spoiler,

The servers are already unreliable without the bandwidth of a whole other universe...

First of all, the server issues have gotten better - and second, the new universe (PT2) will be on a different set of servers.

In addition, unless you work for the hosting company or perhaps OOTP do you even know the network topology to hazard an opinion on what bandwidth is available and how it's segmented?

There's been enough comments here by the staff to conclude PT2 will run independently of PT1, and a specific comment by Marcus that the boxscore delay was going to be fixed in PT2 and installed on the PT1 servers.
