Why are some cards not allowed to be sold?

When I go to my manage card page there are maybe 6 or 7 cards I cannot activate/deactivate or sell. Why? I want to sell most of them but can't find out how. I can't even use a quick-sell option...

Even if they're on the reserve roster? I read a tutorial a while back and I thought it said you can have an empty reserve roster if you so choose...

You can have an empty reserve roster but you must have a replacement for the guy you want to sell. So you can´t sell a position player first then buy a new one if you don´t have another position player on the reserve roster. I´m not sure if it goes deeper than that regarding specific positions, I haven´t been curious enough to find out.

I'm sorry I'm still confused. If I can have an empty reserve roster why would I need a replacement for a guy I'm trying to sell off the reserve roster.

For example, it is allowing me to sell some players off my reserve roster, but not others, and it is allowing me to sell some players off my active roster, and not others. Now when it is the active roster players I'm trying to sell it might not allow me to sell because there isn't a replacement on the reserve roster.

Could it have anything to do with the whole "inactive for 14 days after moving a guy from active to reserve"?

You can sell players during their inactivity period, but from what I remember their time on the AH is not included in the 14 days.
As it states on the roster screen, you must have active a minimum of ten pitchers and fifteen position players. If you have this you should be able to sell who you want.

You have to keep 10 pitchers and 15 position players at all times.

Here is my issue then. I'm keeping a 5-man rotation and standard 7-man bullpen, and only 13 position players. That's why it won't let me sell the last 2 position players...to meet the minimum.

Thank you.

I have run into this many times after selling off to the point of being at the roster limit.

There is a work around if you don't mind buying a pack of cards in order to do it.

Now if you are trying to sell someone off who is less than the cost of a pack of cards it doesn't make much sense. However, if you are trying to sell off a 10K card for example, and can't due to the limit issue, buying a pack is the work around plus you have the added bonus of pulling 6 cards that might land you winner.

All you need to do is buy one or two iron cards for 5-6pp each. You don't need to buy a pack of cards.

I made better decisions before the early onset alzheimer's started rearing its ugly head. I think...
