Defensive catcher L/R pairings

Hey hey,
I'm building a defense-first team and transitioning from a smash n bash team. Currently running Tony Pena and Wilson Ramos out there. I'd like to find a left or switch bat to pair with Pena, and thus replace Ramos.

Any suggestions? Pena, a righty, has a bonus against LHP and ideally the platoon partner would have to opposite splits.

Thanks!

check out todd hundley

I cant remember the exact rating I'm using or if there are multiple versions, but he's mid silver with great split ratings vs RHP and top defense

Now there's a sentence you don't see every day, er, ever. "Todd Hundley has top defense."

Care to make a suggestion for a switch/left handed defense-first bat to compliment mucho-defenso Pena?

Mike Scioscia (75)

Rich Gedman (84) is another option, but more expensive.

i think you are remembering the Mets' ill-advised "Todd Hundley in Left Field" experiment

The Gold Yogi Berra has mid-90s defense, iirc.

For catchers, I think John Wockenfuss is a very underrated catcher as a 63-ovr bronze. Hits lefties and righties well as a RHB, but he's not a defense-first type.

I am thinking about getting Mike Scioscia for the LHB platoon partner and defensive replacement. Yasmani Grandal is a bit less expensive than Scioscia and a switch hitter with good defensive ratings. Rich Gedman is fine also if you want to pay 5k PP compared to Scioscia's 3.5k or Grandal's 1.5k.

I just got into bronze level this past week so I have very little knowledge of the pricier cards that might be better than these.

It was actually the Cubs' "let's bring in Randy Hundley's kid" experiment.
