Not bad - has gone from 6.2 to 7.9 (heading in the right direction).

Or maybe they just don't show the scores that don't have any comments.
That's my guess.

It's at 8.0 now. Crusade! Crusade!

Did my part. Wrote a short review, and gave OOTP a score of 10!

Glad that it's now rated an 8.0...

Here's my $0.02: If you can't take a few seconds to jot down a comment then your score should not count.

I just did my duty and gave OOTP a 10. As of my vote, its up to 8.1.

Yeah, I just voted & it's up to 8.1 now. Hopefully, more people who actually play OOTP will vote & help elevate its user score to a more deserving level.

The 'mixed' review from a critic is ridiculous. It says it is a good game, but only if you like baseball.

Uh... what? To get a good review you have to somehow transcend the likes and dislikes of the player?

That's like saying the internet is useful, but only if have a computer. Complete joke of a review, the writer makes it sound like OOTP is some kind of glorified fantasy baseball platform.

I agree. Some of the best games ever made according to critics are useless to me because frankly I SUCK at FPS and twitchy type games. That doesn't make the games any less good and the fact that baseball is not everyone's thing does not make OOTP any less good either.

We need to get a larger pool of critic reviews in order to give OOTP credibility amongst these types of people.

Yeah, it's like a restaurant critic saying "this is a good steak joint, but only if you like steak."

That being said, fantasy baseball players are a natural fit for OOTP.

OOTP is a very hard game to get into. Its deep and if you dont know every in and out of baseball you struggle with it. I've had the last few versions of the game but I struggle to get into the game because of how deep it is and how little things are explained.

It really should have a big help guide that comes with it.

Very true. I just think describing it the way it was done in that review makes it clear that the reviewer didn't go very far in depth in OOTP.

8.6

That sounds about right. But we still need quantity and we need spread out comments so it doesn't look like a one-day wave.

January bump.

My main takeaway from all this is: don't trust Metacritic ratings.
