MLBC Opening 6.5
The MLBC is looking for an owner for the St.L Browns, we are preparing for the 1904 amateur draft. The MLBC is a restart of the original MLBC which started in 2000 with OOTP2 with the 1905 season and ran thru 2009 completing the 1980 season with OOTP 6.5, we were/are the longest running OOTP league in existence. In our restart the only changes to the original MLBC setup/rules was dividing each league into 2 divisions so as to increase competition and excitement.
We still use 6.5 and each owner will need to have 6.5. We also have one more unique rule that we decided to implement in the restart, each team is only allowed to draft 1 of the 16 designated 'All Time Greats' of the deadball period 1901-1919. The Browns have not selected their 'All Time Great' yet. This rule allows every owner to control at least one of the 16 greatest stars of the deadball era. Babe Ruth was not included in that list of 16 and will be available to anyone in his entry year. Curious as to who the 16 are??? Well here they are in order of entry: 1902 Addie Joss 1903 Mordecai Brown 1903 Chief Bender 1904 Ed Walsh 1905 Ty Cobb 1906 Eddie Collins 1907 Tris Speaker 1907 Walter Johnson 1908 Joe Jackson 1908 Frank Baker 1909 Zack Wheat 1911 Pete Alexander 1913 Edd Roush 1914 Harry Heilmann 1915 Rogers Hornsby 1915 George Sisler So all 16 teams will draft 1 of those players. If you are interested in joining the MLBC please check out our website and contact the commish. The Browns went to the World Series in 1903 losing in 7 games to the Cardinals!!!
