Attached is the logo for future crowns.

EDIT: Holy massive logo batman. Wish we had spoiler tags.

O'Fallon didn't qualify with only 3 games; but with 4 teams and the others playing more than 10 games, it meets the requirements

any word on Bronze standings/etc?

I second your rant. Last four seasons for the Bears: 102 wins; 103 wins; 110 wins; 106 wins. Playoff series wins: 0. And so...it'll be *another* year in Iron for the Bears. (Team ownership has considered moving the team from Stephensville to Iron City.)

I would really like to know the overall percentage for teams with the best league record in regular season and how they do in the playoffs. Anecdotally, it seems low.

D388 Playoffs Update

Cincinnati dispatched Annandale in the AC wildcard game, 3-0 in 12 innings. Shasta won their wildcard game 4-1.

In the AC division series, the Gauchos defeated the Redlegs and Motown downed Seattle. The NC division series saw Shasta defeat Kinross, the team that led the league in wins, and in an upset, Luckenbach defeated Hampton Roads.

It's an all OL finals with Minneapolis and Motown in the AC, and Shasta and Luckenbach in the NC. That means four more teams will be joining the OL ranks in Perfect in 2040.

I've updated the friends list for the Green Lake Cowboys. Hopefully some folks in Diamond still have me on their friends list, or add me. Username Argonaut.

It's the lefty teams against the Hawaiian teams (one of which is a lefty team!) in the Conference Series for Perfect.

The meta is crazy.. I've noticed something wild on the Vikings. My LHP sides of my platoons actually had more games played than the RHP sides. Game singular I should say, as the LHP side played 82 games versus 81 for the RHP side. If I didn't play a division-deciding Game 163 against Charlatan's Washington Monuments, then it would have been an exact 50-50 split.

This led to some unexpected things during the season, like 4th outfielder Devon White playing more games than he probably should have. Also why it would nice to get a better substitution system in place.

I have a lefty/righty percentage calculator on my team sheets. I just updated it for the Monuments - they played 78 games against left handed pitchers (as opposed to my Senators team in Silver, who played 24!). The LHP meta is strong in Perfect.

My wife forgot something

So I volunteered to run home and get it. Hmm....

Anyway, here's the promotions:

Silver to Gold:

Corinth Cougars
Daytona Beach Pickleballers
Philadelphia Patriots
Washington Base Stealers

Gold to Diamond:

CliffMarkle Roadrunners
Harbour Town Falcons
Pablo Pandas
Port Ruppert Mundys

None relegated in either.

I checked B272 on the Universe screen and there have been no updates. It still shows the division series with just a couple of games played.

To be safe, unless there's an update, folks in Silver should add:

Everett Silvertips
Salem Witches
Redmond Birds
Asheboro Road Dogs
Southside Sluggers

Hope somebody can update the spreadsheet. Only have time for one more thing.

Vikings bring in a ringer!

Ah, ah. The Vikings decided to throw a ringer into the mix, bringing in perfect Ted Williams (CON: 100, GAP:85, POW:91, EYE:88) just in time for the perfect league finals. Fresh off the bus... he is perhaps the best hitter in the game, and my guys are quaking in their boots.

Otherwise, it's two lefty teams in the finals. Gotta come up with some good strategies against 'em.

Just curious, how much did he cost you?

.

I like the Iron City idea!

"Enjoy" the winning and the PP while you can.

Once you leave the "Land of Milk and Honey", you will be sent back to reality, like Mudville just had happen.

All of my top pitchers are throwing beach balls; my historically top hitting players, season after season, can't hit over the Mendoza line, and it is all happening at the same time.

Nothing like seeing the opposing team's pitcher, who has a rating in the 50's, own your whole team, game after game!

Just got home

About to start on the bronze standings. Thanks so much Edster! Checked the schedule, thinking the series between CliffMarkle and Port Ruppert might be done, but they're going to seventh game for the right to meet Pablo in the finals. The pitching match-up:

Cy Young vs Denton True Young

Might we see the Southpaws finally end their playoff drought?

Southpaws have a 2-0 lead in the P431 WS. In a consensus best-team-vs-2nd-best-team (at least based on run differential) matchup, Victoria has a lot of work to do to overcome the deficit.

And that game 1! Victoria had the Southpaws down to their last out, up by 2 and with the bases empty. And the Southpaws miraculously pulled out the win, scoring 3 runs on a bases clearing double by perfect Yas. It seems that purchase finally paid off.

From an old-timer who ate Big Yaz bread back in the '60s, and for many years kept the Daily News paper with the 1967 Headline:

YAZMATAZZ! IT'S RED SOX!

Please don't call him "Yas."
