The best that never was
I played about 9 seasons with the braves in ootp 19 and with 20 coming out its time to retire this game. I drafted and internationally got some talented players through the years but one I’ll probably never forget. Josh Poulin a guy I drafted in the 6th round starting pitcher 5 star guy at age 21 making our opening day roster. he’s now 26 made 8 career starts. Blew his arm out 3 consecutive seasons all being about a 13 month injury. On a 20-80 scale his stuff was an 80 and had 4 pitches fastball (80) curveball (75) slider (80) changeup (80) his movement and control only (60) but overall incredible talent. probably should have converted him to a closer after the second elbow surgery but I just never could do it. Such a frustrating player story but one I’ll probably never forget. probably the best overall talent I’ve ever drafted to a team.

you can simply move the game into OOTPXX if you wanted to and don't have to retire the game I started mine in 2012 and now in 2079. I lost about 15 seasons because I didn't save and backup the game.

Yeah I know I’m more than happy to start over in 20. I learned a lot of lessons in 19 the first time I’ve played more than 5 years without starting over. I’m in year 2 of playing around .500 ball. Got a few bad contracts which is my own fault etc. I’ll be much smarter next time!
