New OOTP 19 Update Available (Version 19.8.64)!

We've received quite a few reports of the game lagging between screens and also freezing for folks trying to play out games in 3d on this patch. We're working hard on finding a fix for this.

For now it seems that the problem is limited to users with AMD processors. So if you have an AMD processor you might not want to download the new patch just yet.

If you have downloaded it already and are experiencing similar issues, please post here and let us know the specs of your system and especially if you are using an AMD or Intel processor.

For anyone with the problem of the slowdown when switching screens in-game, can you please try this?

It's a bit complicated so if you're not great with computers no need to try it. If we can get the info from a few folks who are comfortable doing it, that should be more than enough.

Right-click on the OOTP19 shortcut on your desktop, click on properties and add the following to the target line like this:
"c:\program files\whatever\ootp19.exe" --pisd-timing

So what you're adding to the line is this ' --pisd-timing' and it needs to be added outside of the quotation marks on the target line.

Now, when you open the game, there will be a little window that will display some data open along with the game.

Then start ootp, load a league and open the league home page. After that, switch from window to window where it's running slow for you, from league home to team home for example and take a screenshot of what the debug window shows while you're waiting for the game to switch screens. Then post that here. (It would be good to resize the debug window to fullscreen size before you take the screenshot so it will show us more info)

(After you're done, just undo the initial steps of adding --pisd-timing to the command line so that the debug window doesn't open every time you start the game going forward.)
