Player Development Question
I started a historical league using real players from all eras and we just finished our World Series and advanced the offseason. I noticed that a ton of players have taken massive ratings hits and I'm wondering if I should panic or if this is something that just happens before ratings are tweaked upward again in the spring.
For example, Vic Raschi's Stuff went from 70 to 30, his control went from 50 to 35, and his velocity went from 94-96 to 80-83. And he's just one of many. Most of my pitchers, including those who are between 22-24 years old, took major hits. In your experience, is this just a function of the offseason and their ratings will rebound in Spring Training or is this something we should be worried about?
Thanks!
Mike
