What, you didn't know Dwight Gooden was a sentient department store mannequin?

I think they even made a movie about it...

It's like if Geordi Leforge got caught in an A-bomb blast.

No lie, I thought it looked like Geordi at first glance. Had a good laugh.

Some of the new card designs are indeed terrible.

We knew these would be controversioal for some, we modeled the 2000-2009 card template after early 2000 video game 3D models. Our team likes them very much. Your milage may vary, fair game Overall we have gotten overwhelmingly positive reactions on the new card designs.

I think a hint of a nose would go a long way with those cards.

Also, white logos with just the outline around the letter are almost invisible on these. The A's logo is particularly well camouflaged...

No, I don't like them either.

I think the A's are the only team with that issue, and they could rather quickly solve it by using this logo, which encompasses the same era as the white logo.

In general though, I don't dislike the 2000s era cards. I do think the player and background are a bit too blendy though. Full color backgrounds like the 70s era cards have would probably make things look a bit nicer (to me anyway).

I thought I saw another one, but maybe I got it mixed up. Or do I have two A's ...?

Some of the new card designs maybe positive, but the originator of this post is correct. Dwight Gooden never looked that bad. It looks like a sonogram. Sorry, but I am starting to wonder who your poll audience is?

Not a fan of the new card designs either. PT20 has much more cleaner/fun designs.

These designs just seem....off.

Just my two cents. (Still love the mode!!)

A Sepia-tone would have gone a long way in toning that down.

Love Markus, but nobody believes this got an overwhelmingly positive response. Looks likes a burn victim. disturbing

Well, he's black, so I'm not as concerned as I am over the white players and their blue-ish glow. *Those* are the ones hiding under your bed to snatch you as soon as you fall asleep.

I have been a big fan of the art work involved in all the Historic Card Templates since PT19 however, from my POV, this one does not look good to me either as it has way too much white in it, and the player image art is not even close to the top-quality of other card images.

I think all the non-live designs are terrible compared with last year, TBH. If photos really are a no-no, they need to hire a decent cartoonist.
