You Must Go Back!

You need to return the OLD bullpen mechanics. You eliminated using the pitcher as a PR or PH, and in historical Sims that is something we do. It is NOT natural the way you have changed it. Bring it BACK!

Writing random WORDS in ALL caps won't help YOU get your POINT across.

I’m confused by this (paging Markus or Matt). Can we no longer use pitchers as pinch hitters or pinch runners?

If that’s the case...respectfully, why was that eliminated?

Of course you can. Simply switch the position filter of the list.

I had a hard time believing that you of all people would remove this ability. If it doesn’t make sense, it’s usyally not true.

Using a Pitcher that is warmed up and ready to Pitch such as Ken Brett as your batter as he did quite a bit in the Early 80's and late 70's.

You can drag and drop them to the lineup to pinch hit with them. No, you cannot simply drag them onto the pitcher's spot to replace the current pitcher, but you can certainly still use them at the plate any time you want. *to clarify, you need to drop them into the lineup to use them as a PH/PR

I am reasonably confident that never happened.

Me too

I just looked at Brett's B-R page
I found a few seasons where he appeared as a reliever and as a hitter
For his 1979 season I looked at his game lot and the box score for every game in which he appeared as a hitter and as a reliever.

He never entered the game as a hitter before he entered as a pitcher.

I also looked at some random box scores from other seasons (70, 71 and 75) where he appeared as both a hitter and reliever. Again, no games in which he got a plate appearance before pitching

Looking at B-R further:

From 2000-present, there are 53 cases of legitimate pitchers playing PH-P or PR-P. On average, NL teams did this about once every thousand games.
