Exclamation Roster set issues go here!

Hey guys,

we want to constantly improve the real roster set, so please post issues you run across here once the game is released. Keep in mind though, it is not Opening Day yet, so these rosters are meant to be projections and obviously not the final version.

Please do not post issues with players being on wrong roster / lineup / pitching staff spots, the AI sets these up and there is nothing we can do to force player X to be used in a certain predefined way.

Also, do not post stuff like "Trout just hit .260 in my sim, this cannot be right." or "Why has X better ratings than Y?". Posts like these will be ignored! Major league player ratings are based on ZiPS projections, not opinion.

Please, please before you make any comments in this thread that touch on ratings or rankings, turn off scouting. If you're commenting when you still have scouting on, it's inaccurate, confusing and a waste of both our time and your own.

Please post here:
- Errors in contracts
- Issues with players being in the wrong organization
- Vastly wrong player ratings (disable scouting first so you see the real ratings), for example a Double-A scrub having allstar-calibre ratings

Thanks for helping!
Markus

Also in regards to top 30/100 prospects... We're working hard on those right now and should have 'em finished up hopefully on Tuesday.

What I am looking for are the over/underrated guys. I saw a lot of examples of guys, especially MR with extremely high Movement ratings. If you find examples of these please post them here... I will be around all day answering questions and fixing issues that need fixing. Lukas and the other guys will chime in later in the day.

Enjoy the game guys.......

Thanks for all your feedback guys. Just to reiterate what Markus mentioned, because it's both important and easy to forget, I forgot it myself yesterday, please turn off scouting first if you're planning on posting here.

As Howard mentioned, the prospect lists are not yet finished. So top 100, team top 20-30's etc. are all in need of polishing. We're working on those though, and should have them sorted soon!

There absolutely will be some ratings that are a bit off, especially among current minor leagues present ratings. So don't get worked up about it, just let us know and we'll get them straightened out

That's certainly some sort of weird setting combination causing this. Try this: Game menu -> Game settings -> "Recalc all Ratings + Run Full Rescout" (left side, 6th row).

The entire Mets organization is overrated to all hell. Scouting is off + rate all players relative to MLB is on:

Image link (breaks the resolution): http://i.imgur.com/dLb4uUK.png

(not that I mind having approximately 20 relievers in the organization rated 80/80, of course. Please, keep this in the game (I'm kidding don't do that))

Switch relative ratings off. Seems like that screwed things... or hit the ratings recalc button in the global setup, scouting options.

Height and weight issues:

* Barbaro Rodriguez (RP, Holguin Cachorros) has height/weight of 0.
* Christian Dicks (LF, draft-eligible) and Lin-Wei Kuo (RP, Tainan Lions) both have wraparound height, i.e. a larger value than the game can handle.
* James Baldwin (RP, free agent) has weight of 2015 lb.

Potential "red flag" ratings (all on 1-100 scale, non-relative)

* Hiroyasu Tanaka (2B, Tokyo Yakult Swallows) has a Sac Bunt rating of 112, no other player is higher than 101.
* Shaun Little (SP, draft-eligible) and Drew Parrish (SP, draft-eligible) have Stamina > 100. An inordinately high percentage of the best-stamina players are draft-eligible for some reason.

Hunter King (draft-eligible) has no default position despite being able to play 2B/SS according to his ratings.

I did that, and get the same results.

Should I just play with relativistic ratings off for the time being?

Legacy issue from last year, sort of:

Luis Yander La O (3B, free agent) has been going by several different names: Baseball-Reference has him as Luis Yander, and later OOTP 16 patches had him as Luis Yander La O Camacho. I assume there was a reason for you to revert his name to what it was in early OOTP 16 patches, but there are so many sources going around that I can't tell what name he's actually going by.

Yes. Relative ratings have been screwed up for a while.

You sure you have MLB selected as the relative league? I just tested it here and it works fine... not sure what is going on for you I suggest disabling relative ratings and see if re-enabling them helps.

Also, feel free to send over your league files (How to FTP files to OOTP Developments - Powered by Kayako Help Desk Software) and we can have a look and hopefully fix things if there's a bug somewhere

I started a new dynasty and everything's fixed. Not sure what was up with that.

Edit: Just figured it out. If you go to AI Settings and reweigh the player evaluation settings, things go wonky.

Thanks for all the info... In the future though, can you post a lot of these in one post so as not to flood the forum with too many posts... Makes it easier.... Fixed these issues by the way...Thanks

Houston Astros 3B Matt Duffy is missing from the game.

Also, Marwin Gonzalez should have some 1B rating. He played 212 innings there last year.
