OOtP tech stack?

As a developer myself, I'm quite interested in how OOtP is built. C++? Java? C#? I think Markus' story is pretty amazing, and the journey he and the product has made is equally amazing, so it would be real interesting to hear of some of the technical challanges and struggles. I love those kinds of details.

I would hazard a guess at C++.

If it were Java it'd require the JVM to run, and if it were C# it'd require Mono on macOS. Neither of these are requirements.

Markus also specifically mentions C++ on his LinkedIn profile when referring to his experience in Software Development.

What tech stack are you interested in? The main game is likely C++ w/ Qt flavor while the backend/server stuff is likely Java (especially if OOTP is using containers, etc.).

I'm completely guessing and using my experience as a software engineer to come up with the guess.

I believe a couple years ago in reference to a job posting it was mentioned, that while FHM used QT, that OOTP didn't.

That instead OOTP used a framework from PISD, the people that sell the Linux license.

A very good guess from the looks of it:

One of the last requirements "- Creation of game builds, as well as managing and running the build process." tells me there's definitely Java involved because I would bet they're using a well known CI/CD solution (Jenkins, Travis, etc.).
