Inventory of 3D Ballparks by Silvam14 and Adion

I've found that it's a lot easier to do a fictional park if you base it off of a real world field. Usually I look around the satellite layer of Google maps until I find a field I want to use, then I screen capture it, turn it into a .PNG file, and import that into SketchUp.

Also, if you haven't already, be sure to watch Silvam's videos on stadium building.

Let me start out by saying, you guys should be put into Baseball's Hall-Of-Fame for the work you did, creating all of these old stadiums.

Question:
Houston Astrodome, can you take the "Yankees" name off the scoreboard and replace it with any National League team,
From 1965-1985.

Thank you.

So just curious...are you gonna update Wrigley, now that they've added those stupid huge screens in the outfield?

Excellent work on this whole thread silvam14! I notice that you’ve done Borchert Field and I was wondering if you have any plans on doing the homes of the Minneapolis Millers, Nicollet Park and the St. Paul Saints, Lexington Park.

How does changing the AVG modifier effect play.
Say you have ultimate defensivie team, would the defense not have any effect because of a high modifer??
If you have a fast range outfield and double modifier high, would double be muted?

so this is a hitters homer park....does the game pick up on the dimensions that the homers would occur in the corners and not CF??
or does it only look at the over HR modifier

I don’t have the definitive answer on this, but from my testing, I don’t think the dimensions matter much to where home runs are hit.

At least in past versions, the dimensions are cosmetic and help to drive the distance displayed for the HR, but don't determine the location of the HR, that's driven by the ratings of the players involved.

I have moved a fictional dynasty franchise from OOTP19 to XX. All of the team's are playing in the correct ballpark, park name and dimensions, etc., all are correct in settings -- but when visually playing the game it is just the generic OOTP ballpark in all instances. Asked for help on other forums, figure I would give a shot here since this is where all the ballpark in question originated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do the parks show up correctly in the park editor screen?

Yes and no. On the left side of the screen, select ballpark to edit, it has the correct park, factors, dimensions, etc.
On the right side, the park you visually see is the OOTP generic ballpark.

Importing your game from a previous version does not import the stadiums, unfortunately. I’ve pushed for this to be added

OK, I've started importing some of the ballparks from my fictional league from 19 to OOTPXX.

In all the windows, it's the correct ballpark but when I go to 3D Model or start a game it's the OOTP default stadium.

I haven’t had to do this yet since I can’t seem to keep a long running league, but I would assume you would have to have the image files in the OOTP 20 stadiums folder. Have you copied them over?

Does OOTP 17 have 3D Parks? I don't remember but I don't think so.

Did you try by load the .obj file, the picture files and the diagram file separately. If so, did that work?
