There's a crap ton of Michigan people here.
Funny you mention the Gulf Coast thing. I'm from Wisconsin and I don't consider myself midwestern. Not sure why, but I don't like being called a midwesterner. I just don't associate myself with that culture and I don't really view the majority of Wisconsin as doing so either. Minnesota and Wisconsin are basically a categorization of their own.

Yes. I had noticed and commented a while back that we had a massively disproportionate number of Tiger fans on the board. This explains that.
Why so many Michiganders?

I am from Michigan myself but I ended up moving to Florida.
Michigan has ALOT of Baseball fans and not just fair weather fans.... take a close look at the Midwest league which is lower class A league you will find there is 2 ball clubs that draw 10,000 fans per game ALOT and it isn't all that unusual to see since both the West Michigan White Caps and Lansing Lugnuts both have 11 to 12,000 seats in stadium. |

Lincoln is pretty awesome, I went to uni there (I only live in Newark anyway, which is 25 minutes away on the train).

Yeah, "America" is a pretty vague Place, It covers every thing from Kaffeklubben Island, Greenland to Chile's Cape Horn!

Southern Manitoba....home of frigid winter temperatures and short humid summers (I actually hear more complaints about the uncomfortable summers than the winters).
