Lost Password for old file

Fellas,

Trying to restore an old league in order to generate some Cato history, advance it to Opening Day, convert it over and then convert it to OOTP11 as part of beta testing.

Problem is, I can't remember the password for the life of me.

I sent it to Markus to have him break the password out, but he doesn't have a debug for 6.5 anymore.

Is there anyone out there who can help me??

Hold on....file in a sec.

Thanks a ton! It'll be awesome to see the MBBA rise from the ashes.

Was there something wrong with the first file you linked?

Matt, I'm afraid I spoke too quickly. My mind was still on an important OT post I was proofreading. I'm quite certain it'd be fine to give you the password since I distinctly remember you being the long-time commish and I double-checked the MBBA's IOLD entry, but the last time we discussed the topic of releasing passwords to defunct leagues some people felt quite strongly about it and as a result I decided it'd be best to just take some added precautions. I don't have time to review the entire thread at the moment, but for now I'll just ask people to answer the following questions about the league: "when did it die, who were all the commissioners, who was probably most entitled to make the call, and what would their wishes likely have been if we can't get in touch with them?" The sooner people can reply, the better.

Sorry, Matt. I realize I gave you hope of a quick fix and I shouldn't have.

I'll send over a couple people to comment on that. I created the league and was either the Commissioner or the Chairman of it from start to finish. I'll have mad0die and mikev come in and comment. I'm quite certain that though there were many that helped along the years, ultimately the MBBA is a Recte baby.

5-5-2007 was the closest approximation of when the league went defunct that I can prove.

So, it's been defunct for nearly 3 years.

I was commish from season 2 through ???. I'd guess I was commish for around 6 or 7 seasons and after that remained involved in the league. I give whatever random ootp internet permission is needed. This league is Recte's, has always been Recte's and there is no one who ever played in it that would disagree.

Yeah, Recte is definitely cool here. Isn't recte a well beloved and trusted beta tester and stuff now? He's asking for a file that's what? 6 years old? I think we can trust him. I was commish of that league after Recte and Joel but it was still Recte's league.

I was commish when the MBBA and FIBB merged to form the GUBA.

It's Recte's league.

Hopefully that should satisfy enough to let you help me out here. I had looked forward to goofing around with converting this league today as I cover from a root canal and two crowns.

Hopefully you come on soon, Kieran!
