In response to the Dodgers-D'Backs highly successful kickoff to the 2014 campaign, baseball down under surges in popularity, leading to a revamped 18 team professional league. 12 new teams (including four non-Australian teams) join up. The ABL is divided into 3 division of 6 teams. Stay tune for the unveiling of team logos and uniforms.

I am going to post the original uniforms, some of which I have collected from different modders and some of which I have done. Next I will post uniforms that have been previously created but fit the team name (ie: the Admirals). Then I will start creating new uniforms for the others. I will post all logos at the end.

Was thinking I would use Illeracula's excellent Annapolis Admirals uniform set for Port Moresby (why re-create the wheel!!!). One of four non-Australian based teams in the ABL,Port Moresby is located in the South Eastern coast of New Guinea. The team's name is derived from it's strategic location during WWII as a naval port. The team will play at Lloyd Robson Oval.

Created these in my AHL uniform thread so thinking I would use them for Albany, Western Australia, joining Perth as the only two franchises in the South Western region of Australia. Albany, located 420 km south of Perth, will play in the newly constructed Western Power Stadium, overlooking Princess Royal Harbour.

The Hunter Eagles were originally part of the ABL from 1994-1998, when they replaced the Sydney franchise. Located in Newcastle, New South Wales (162 km north of Sydney), the team will play it's home games in the refurbished Newcastle International Sports Centre . It's name is derived form the Hunter Region and Hunter River, in which Newcastle is located.

The most populous of all the non-capital cities in Australia, the Gold Coast will provide an immediate rival to its neighbor to the north, Brisbane, which is just a 94 km drive up the coast. Named affectionately after the Bluetongue lizard, the team will begin play at Carrara Stadium, which has just received major renovations in preparation for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Based in the capital of the Australian Island state of Tasmania, the Hobart Devils will play their games at the newly constructed Mt. Wellington Foothills Stadium, a multi-use facility aimed at helping to secure a team in the Australian Football League.

Cairns, located in the northern part of Queensland, will join the Northern Division. Owned and operated by Skytrans, the same corporation that owns the basketball team of the same name, the Taipans will play at beautiful Skytrans Park, located adjacent to the Cairns Convention Center.

Located in the capital city of the Northern Territory, Darwin takes it's nickname from the number of cattle ranches in the region at the turn of the 20th century. The team will play at the Marrara Sports Complex, with the TIO Stadium easily converted from Aussie Rules to baseball.
