The legacy issue thread!

Have records that are reached (career, single-season, team, whatever) show up, at least occasionally, in the newspaper.

Less owner death. Also, not every owner is replaced by their son who has the same name as them.

Death of retired players! Maybe even active players too occasionally.

Ability to sort by year of debut for active and retired players, and final year in baseball for retired players. This'd help particularly when choosing Hall of Famers (looking for candidates who have been retired for a certain number of years).

A way to see a team's former managers and coaches within their team history.

Postseason series MVPs, at least for the championship round/World Series.

Except that doesn't help new users. There have been numerous threads started by new users asking why this aspect or that of their league changed when they didn't make that change themselves.

League evolution should be off by default for the included leagues and newly generated leagues.

LGO is correct. I have seen way too many of these. Evolution should, without question, be off by default - otherwise it can ruin a new user's first game experience completely.

If we want it on, we can turn it on, but having it on by default just sets a hidden bear trap for newbies.

Alot of effort was put into this jersey but all the time spent on the mesh was wasted and pretty much my whole button idea got wasted. Can we get more jersey to show?

Player comparison:

Regardless of the players you are comparing the game defaults to showing batting ratings. The game should "sense" if you are comparing batters or pitchers and if you are comparing pitchers show the pitching ratings instead of the batting ratings.

thought this was going to ask to be more like RL (aka Harold Reynolds) and have every prospects compared to Verlander, Sale or Trout.

Under the pitching stats tab or the batting stats tab (same screen as player profile) the views are NOT customizable. Why not? For example, I might like to see QS% on the same line as "basic pitching stats".


In the team history page, leaders in VORP is a category, but WAR is not. WAR should be one of the categories. Also, on the team & league history page, I would like to see leaders in K/BB ratio.

Why have an All-Star game if there is no news story and no permanent record, unless you remember to record it manually. The result ought to be maintained on the league history page where the league all stars are.

Not to get too crazy here, but 3 runs in 1 inning is a 27.00 ERA, not 27.03

Too many times AI teams do not properl manage their rosters to take advantage of the rule 5 draft.

I see teams carry full 40 mans into the draft, choosing to keep a 0.5 star first baseman who got no at bats the previous season and is 37 over taking a 2.5 star (4.5 star pot) pitcher. Just happens too often I watch a rule 5 draft with no picks. Bad teams choosing not to improve.
