Live Start Currently A Mess

I am a big fan of OOTP, long time user and evangelist. I rarely complain and always enjoy the game for what it is - awesome.

However I'm really upset about the current state of the Live Start. I am really excited about managing through the playoffs and into the offseason this year.

I've downloaded the live start several times and there are a lot of issues - particularly:

1. The service years are not being calculated and guys like Rendon, Cole, etc. are not becoming free agents.

2. Draft picks that had previously been assigned to teams no longer there , even first round picks. This was all correct in previous versions.

Is there a plan to fix this? Item #1 in particularly is a real deal breaker for someone who is going for accuracy in their new game.

I've seen others ask about this as well, can we get an update or perspective from one of the developers?

Yes, there are multiple fixes for the live start coming up in the next patch.

This is the first year with the live start, so we always anticipated there would be some "growing pains". We're doing our best to work through all the reported issues.

Also Live Start if you have at today's Date should be Astros/Nats 2-2 and not start of Playoffs.
Hopefully some good additions in next Patch.

Matt, do we have a general timeframe for the next patch?

My guess would be whenever they figure out tournaments for PT. It's a bit of a sore subject in PT Land, so I wouldn't expect any timetables until they're almost ready to drop it.

Yeah, it'll all be coming in together. We'll announce more of a timeline shortly, but we're not *too* far off...

I am also very excited to start into this offseason. So what is the best way, start 2019 and use "real transactions" and sim through the 2019 season and go from there?
