If this thing turns into in the NFL version of the baseball games, this might be the best game ever put out. I'm not even a huge baseball fan but I play iOOTP for hours every day. I'll do any research that you need done as well. I have several sites bookmarked in my computer with all time NFL numbers, records, etc.

Football is my sports. I all about a great sim. I don't care for hockey, but have been thinking of playing it too. Right now I just play the baseball sim on the iPad. The PC version looks a million times more in depth. So I will be playing it as well.

Which posts, if there is one, details confirmed features for the game so far?

A few things I'm wondering about is the player rating system? Will it changeable like in iOOTP baseball, like from 2-8, 1-10, 1-20, and 1-100?? I personally go with 1-20. I'm just hoping there is a nice progression system like iOOTP.

And will there be draft busts and steals that aren't obvious to the eye? Like can a 1 star guy, have his potential go up if he performs well. Like a Tom Brady.

Last thing is will there be holdouts when dealing with contracts. I really hope so. Madden use to have it, but their franchise mode has gotten to be a joke.

What about simmed stats as well? Hopefully there isn't 12 5000 yard passers per season and 2000 yard rushers left and right. Madden cannot grasp the 2-3 back system with their simmed stats engine. Not many teams use a single back anymore.

The good thing is that there isn't two different engines one for games you are playing and one for all the computer people, so hopefully we shouldn't see what you are describing

Is it too late to get involved ?

I have 20+ years of experience in data analysis & sports statistics, have played sports sims since the early 90s and have been a football coach for many years

I would love to be involved in this project, I don't have to work full time hours so can be fully committed to it

Not sure if I missed this or not but this is right up my alley. I love the stats side of sports and have 2 years of data entry experience under my belt so I am pretty good at entering a bunch of numbers into a computer quickly and accurately! I'd be happy to help out if chosen!

Researcher

Hi there,

I’d love to help you collate some of the data for the game. I am a huge football and baseball fan based in the UK (JETS/METS), and my job means that I have had a fair amount of experience collating and inputting data. I know you’re going to have a lot of responses for this!
Thanks for all of the good gaming work!

I would love to help out. Have loved football and baseball for years. I was a beta tester for OOTP 3, and would love to help a new game in the OOTP universe.

I guess we're talking NFL info only at this point in time?

I'll throw my hat into the ring as well. I previously worked with EA sports as a tester for a couple of their games in Maitland, FL. Best job I ever had.

I'll be sending out PMs to those we have selected towards the end of the month. We also may contact some of you at a later stage if/when we need to expand on the research team.

Thank you to everyone who posted

I would like to be a researcher. I am a lifelong passionate Steelers fan that knows their history dating back to thier formation in 1933.

Hey All.
Research has started and things are going very well.

However we are still looking for 1 or 2 more researchers who will deal with the transactions.
This means every move a team makes (release someone, sign someone, IR/Practice squad etc etc) will need to be entered into our DB.

If this interests you please reply below (even if you've already replied before), and I'll be in touch shortly with the people we choose.

Thank you

I would love to help out. I have been playing fantasy football for a very long time. I'm always looking up stats and keeping track of trades and injures, etc.

I have a lot of free time and would love to be a part of helping to make this the very best football game out on the market.

I love doing research it's kind of my thing.
