Established Talent Going Overseas

I got a new laptop for Christmas, and was finally able to buy OOTP 20. I started up what I like to call a "career" mode, which is where I focus more on building a career for my GM as opposed to focusing on building one team. I like to start overseas with these. Once I started in the KBO, other times I'll start in Japan. This time I did the latter, and that's where the crux of my question comes into play.

Playing as the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, I decided to shoot a contract offer to Craig Kimbrel, just messing around mostly. Two days later, he actually accepted it. I don't think that's something he'd do now, and it has me wondering if anyone else has had an established talent like Kimbrel heading to *** or KBO or anywhere overseas.
