USBA: a New OOTP4 Fictional League!

Help build the USBA!

We are now forming the United States Baseball Association. The league will originally consist of 16 fictional teams in 2 leagues divided into 2 divisions each. Expansion will be considered once the league stabilizes and grows.

The original 16 owners will have the opportunity to choose the cities, names/mascots, and name/design/build your original stadium.

All that we ask is that you run your team competitively, fairly, and actively. We are also asking that 10 more owners of the original 16 send us your Order ID so that we can get hosted on ootp-leagues.com

Here are a few features this league offers:
1) We use the Reduced Ratings system.

2) No Scouts or Coaches.

3) US/American cities only.

4) League play would begin in 1985 (so we can be in a 'modern' league while not going too far into the future too fast).

5) Players will be allowed to rename drafted players following the amateur draft each season AND they will be allowed to rename players after the original, initial draft.

The league will be run by two co-Commissioners. I will basically maintain the website and my brother will run the sims.

These guys do have their stuff together, a very sharp looking webpage and very timely with their responses. Anybody that has been approved, its nice to meet you and be in the league with you. As the owner of the new San Diego Surf, there is only one thing I can say, GO SURF!

We have received your application we just have some 'tricky' circumstances trying to secure enough Order IDs while maintaining High quality owners. So we've left ourselves a little 'slack' with the remaining 3 openings so that we have some room to work with.

This was why we increased to 20 teams from the original plan of 16. We had several experienced and qualified owners apply and rather than turn them away we felt it was better to bring them into the league now.

Also by increasing to 20 teams we have a better shot at getting the 12 ids to get moved over to ootp-leagues.com!

So the move was really a no-brainer for us.

We have about 3 more teams to fill yet and will be taking applications the rest of the night and should have the league pretty much finalized by tomorrow.

Also, if you are interested in the League/Division setup, take a look at the standings as they are pretty well up to date.

We are very excited about the league and it's future and we are looking forward to getting the season rolling!

Not sure if you have any openings left, but I signed up yesterday as the Oklahoma City Twisters and haven't heard from you. I just looked at the site and I'm not listed as an owner. Are you booked up? If so, you should post that on your site so people don't waste their time filling out the info you request. Please let me know if I'm in or not.

I have one spot left that I just emailed the owner about and upon him accepting the position we will then be full.

I assume that by "he" you mean the last guy to get in?

The only reason I waited so long to verify the last owner was because he was using Season Ticket Baseball and I wanted to make sure that there were no compatibility problems with OOTP4.

He was actually one of the first applications I had received.
