Dugout Wizards Openings

Dugout Wizards has three openings as we prep for our 1985 season.

DWB is a historical league that features real minor leagues with players joining the league when they turned pro in reality whether it was via the draft for domestic players or via amateur free agency for international players. All newcomers are part of the draft, which is held in June as it is in real life.

The league began with the 1979 season and has a good corps of GMs. We welcome any level of OOTP experience and will help those new to the game or new to online leagues.

There are three teams available. Two of them are championship-caliber teams and the third is just a notch below that, so all will offer immediate chances to compete for a title.

Cincinnati Reds - 1984 NL champs coming off a 104-win season and 7-game loss in the World Series. Absolutely loaded roster with two aces and an exceptional bullpen plus one of the NL's best lineups.

New York Yankees - 1984 AL East champs (95-67 record) boast what is probably the AL's best pitching staff led by the CYA winner and a strong lineup loaded with star power.

Texas Rangers - Perennial AL West contender was hobbled by absentee management this season, finishing 82-80 with a roster probably good enough to win 90. They also have a 22-year-old catcher who just won the AL MVP this season.

DWB has the potential for human GMs to be fired (no one has yet been axed but it is possible) but if you lose your team you immediately get the next opening.

I'd be interested in the Franchise. Thing is, this would be my first on-line league. Been playing the solo version, but never on line. If you're willing to do some hand holding, let me know. Email me at albearrrr@yahoo.com and let me know whats needed of me?
