Best way to run offseason?

I am curious to how commishes run their offseasons starting with day 1 after the playoffs end? Best practices, post here please :-)

Here is a copy of the offseason we are currently in.
I tried to do a table and cannot figure it out so here is a screen shot.

We do manual Awards voting. I think this is starting a little later then what you are asking for but it is the best I have at the moment.

I think the best way to run the off-season is to keep it as short as possible.

Here is my offseason...We don't allow signing of FA's from the day in the game FA is open till the start of pre-season

As usual this is subject to change but here is the rough idea for it all

Week of July 15 (note we are not stopping to move the offseason along)
Wednesday--Sim up to Arbitration (Last chance to get offers in)
Thursday--Sim up to Rule 5 (Submit your rule 5 picks via list inside the game and protect any outstanding players--FREE AGENCY CLOSED
Friday--Run Rule 5 and sim up to Feb. 3rd (Due to length of sim people on DFA will automatically be cut so make sure your DFA is clean) FREE AGENCY CLOSED
Saturday--First FA SIM 2/3-2/8
Sunday--Second FA SIM 2/8-2/13

Week of July 22nd
Monday 3rd FA SIM 2/13-2/18
Tuesday 4th FA SIM 2/18-2/23
Wednesday 5th FA SIM 2/23-2/28
Thursday 6th FA SIM 2/28-3/5
Friday 1st half of Spring Training
Saturday 2nd half of Spring Training
