minor league pitchers not accumulating stats

every year i have a few sp's and mr's in the minors not developing stats at all during the season, even tho they are slotted in the rotation/pen. this happens in OOTP5 too. am i doing something wrong? are they getting "developed" even if the stats aren't showing? should i worry?

I have seen this on rare occasions as well. They definitely SHOULD accumulate stats if they are not injured, even if they are NOT in the lineup or rotations, as OOTP would use every player on the roster at least once in a while over the course of the season.

If they are not playing, they are definitely being short-changed in terms of development progress, as well as possible talent boosts due to stats.

That being said, I'm not sure if there is a fix for this problem or why it occurs. You might try moving a reliever into the rotation or vice versa to see if they might play that way. If you really wanted to get desperate, one might try moving the player to another minor league level to see if they'll play there.

this happens to me in two leagues, so i must be doing something to cause it or i'm cursed.

i'm hoping that they are "playing;" the bug may be in showing the stats, not in playing the prospects.

Sometimes pitchers won't accumulate stats if they are in the SP #2 Position and the SP #1 slot is empty. This might hold true in lineups/bullpen as well.

I've found that when I mess with my minor league rotations, like moving everyone up a slot after a promotion, certain pitchers will miss starts and go up to 2 weeks with no action.
