Signing prospects with high current ability
I'm trying to sign two of my prospects on July 2nd, one with two-star and one with three-star current ability, and both are refusing to sign two-way contracts. One is 20, the other 21, and so the standard NHL entry contract does not give a choice in the matter.
I'm just making the assumption that it's based on their current ability that prevents them from wanting anything but a one-way contract, of course, but I don't run into this sort of issue with the 1.5 star guys each year. https://www.dropbox.com/s/xlc58afb4p...pects.png?dl=0 Both are Canadian, and so I would assume both should 'understand' how the system is setup, unlike for instance a Russian player who I would understand would want to make full wages to play at home in the KHL. If this is working as intended, a message about them prefering to play overseas like the one you receive about foreign players not wanting to sign in North America would be nice. |

Yeah, that's definitely not right, as long as the guy is obliged to sign an entry-level contract he should be accepting two-way deals. We'll see what's going wrong there.
