Every player that retires becomes a Joe Unknown. Their data is instantly lost. Is there a way we can provide our retired.dat file for debug? We'd really like to retrieve this information if possible.

OKAY...
My esteemed colleague KML over there made some progress. Somehow, in-game in OOTPX, all of the retired players are there still. If you go to GUBA->History and click on "retired players" they are all listed. You can sort on their stats, see their player pages, all that stuff. However, when we are generating league reports (for the record, we do FULL reports and not the condensed online league reports) none of that stuff shows up, team leaderboards and history pages are barren because of all the retired players not showing up, etc. There's got to be a way to fix this. Anybody?

Bumping a post from the dead. I'd still like to see if someone is willing to help out.

Join the GUBA!
Apparently there wasn't even an OOTPX thread here because we haven't had an opening that's needed to be filled for a long time
Here was the OOTP9 thread Full League Name (Initials): Global Unified Baseball Association (GUBA) Forums (where all the action takes place): Right here Homepage: sort of out of date, but here Reports URL: GUBA Home Commissioner(s): Mad0die and MikeV OOTP Version: OOTPX required Players: fictional # of Teams: 36 Export Deadlines Days And Times: Tue, Thu, Sun 8pm Central League Time Per Sim: 10 days (3 sims per game month) First Season: 2007 Latest Season: 2021 - Current date 5/11/21 Description: This is a big league with an extremely active forum (even if it's a lot of "OT"). Remember the old FIBB or MBBA? Well, those 2 long-standing leagues joined together as the GUBA in May 2007. This is a WRITING league. Basically, 10 news articles per season about your team will keep you in good standing. Exporting is required. NO fly by night owners please. We are a community as much as we are a baseball league, but as veterans of OOTP online we know our baseball as well. Our community also organizes to play xbox live, Diplomacy, Goal Line Blitz, Court Rivals, etc. - all of these are just bonuses. If interested...: Register for the forum and join our crazy fun. There are three teams available: Long Beach Surfers: At a key crossroads. Once a contender that rose from the ashes, they're on the borderline of falling apart due to lack of management. Something you could jump in and make an immediate impact. Washington Bobwhites: A team in the midst of a rebuild. Don't have much in the farm or in the big leagues. More of a challenge! Havana Perfectos: What a mess. Also been back and forth between ownerships. A previous owner has put this title contender into financial hell, and is a contender no more. Now lack of any management has put this team further behind the eight ball in a hyper-competitive division. Not for the faint of heart as this team probably needs to blow it up and start over....if someone can take their contracts. |

This was my first OOTP online league, and once you get into the groove this is a great, great, great, group of guys to play the game with!
If you take over Washington you get to regularly beat on the group of pansies I've assembled as a "baseball" team in Manhattan! Come check out the GUBA, and after you join us for some fake baseball come hang out as we play Modern Warfare 2, NCAA Football, FIFA 10, and anything else that takes us to our 360s! Zep |

I'm going to move this thread over to the Commissioner's Corner to see if anyone there has had experience with dealing with retired.dat and html issues.

I'm going to revive this. I don't know why it was moved to commish corner, but hey...
We are at the point where we are going to begin the Hall of Fame in the GUBA, and not having player history is a huge barrier to this being done.

GUBA has an opening
A rare opening that we make public.
Full League Name (Initials): Global Unified Baseball Association (GUBA) Forums (where all the action takes place): Right here Reports URL: GUBA Home We also use StatsLab Commissioner(s): Me and MikeV OOTP Version: OOTP11 required (no plans to go to OOTP12) Players: fictional # of Teams: 32 Export Deadlines Days And Times: Tue, Thu, Sun 8pm Central League Time Per Sim: 10 days (3 sims per game month) First Season: 2007 Latest Season: 2030 - Current date 7/1/30 Description: This is a big league with an extremely active forum (even if it's a lot of "OT"). Remember the old FIBB or MBBA? Well, those 2 long-standing leagues joined together as the GUBA in May 2007. This is a WRITING league. We are a community as much as we are a baseball league, but as veterans of OOTP online we know our baseball as well. Our community also organizes to play xbox live, fantasy football, etc. - all of these are just bonuses. If interested...: Register for the forum, fill out an app and join our crazy fun. The Valencia Stars is the open team with one of the league's sexiest hitters.

I would highly suggest any applicants should watch and interact on the forums for a few days to see if you're a good "fit" for us before applying. As he said, we want applicants for the long haul. We like to bust balls. We like inside jokes that we run into the ground. If that's not okay with you, don't bother.
On top of everything, we are a league that is run top-notch. We don't miss sims. We're receptive to changes when necessary and evolve quickly. |

The GUBA has an opening
A rare opening that we make public. We are an online OOTP community that have been doing this for a decade now. We have the most active forums and ownership base you'll ever find in an OOTP online league.
Full League Name (Initials): Global Unified Baseball Association (GUBA) Forums (where all the action takes place): Right here Reports URL: GUBA Home We also use StatsLab Commissioner: Me OOTP Version: OOTP 11 required (we are planning on moving to OOTP 13) Players: fictional # of Teams: 32 Sims: Our sim schedule changes based on the time of season, but most of the regular season is 4 sims a week. We sim a week at a time. First Season: 2007 Latest Season: We just started free agency in 2034. Description: This is a big league with an extremely active forum. You might remember the old FIBB or MBBA - those 2 long-standing leagues joined together as the GUBA back in May 2007. We are a world baseball association with one league based in N.America and the other all over the World. This is a writing league. Periodic articles about your team are required. These are designed to be fun and keep the forums active. The quality of your writing is not judged. Exporting for every sim is required. No fly by night owners please and we love to joke around. Please don't come in with a chip on your shoulder or thin skin. We are a community as much as we are a baseball league, but as veterans of OOTP (some playing since OOTP 3) we know our baseball as well. If interested...: Register for the forum, fill out an app and join our crazy fun. The Taipei Tigers is the open team with the league's top offense and arguably it's best hitter.

As half the Kirks in the league, I approve this message.
This league is a unique experience in the OOTP world. If you want to be part of a community, this is your chance. Also, if you want sarcasm, mockery, and overall zaniness, this is your chance.

As the other half of the Kirks in this league, I copy and paste K1's response.
