So the Detroit Tigers return to the World Series and vanquish the Phillies for their first World Series title since 1984. 24 of 30 teams have now won, and the AL Central is the first division in which every team has won.

I find it interesting how the market sizes change after so many years. For example, the Phillies and Royals are now two of the richest teams, while the Mets are among the poorest. That just seems weird. Anyway, on to 2064.

So the Mets (who still haven't won a pennant) can't capitalize despite a 99-win season and the Blue Jays win another title.

So we FINALLY get a new champion as the Colorado Rockies follow a wild path to the World Series and beat the White Sox in seven games. Every team in the NL West has now won, and 25 of 30 total teams have won. Only the Yankees, Mets, Athletics, Cardinals, and Nationals remain.

Looks like the Cards finally had a good season...hopefully a prelude to more.

Wild that the three teams with the most real-life championships - Yankees, Cardinals, and A's - still haven't won here.

So after having to wait nine years for our 25th champion, we only have to wait one for our 26th, as the Oakland Athletics win 95 games and storm to the championship. This now means that the entire AL West has won a World Series, the Yankees are now the only team in the AL never to win the World Series, and the Mets are now the only team in baseball never to even make the World Series. Then we have the Nationals (who are now on 102 seasons without a championship), and the Cardinals (who are on a 59-year drought), but the Yankees, Nats, and Cardinals have all lost a World Series Game 7 (Yankees in 2019, Cardinals in 2040, and Nationals in 2045).

Are the Sox the 1st team to go to 4 consecutive WS during this?
