2SL/2D/5T 162 game request
Hello everyone,
I'm looking to get some more schedules generated for my online league, AFBL (afblbaseball.com). 20 teams split into 2 subleagues of two divisions of 5 teams 162 game schedule Interleague Favors divisional play Past we've done and I'd like to keep if possible: 18 (9H/9A) against your division - 72 total 10 (5H/5A) against your league's other division - 50 total 4 (2H/2A) against the other league's 10 opponents - 40 total I've tried a OOTP Schedule Generator but I just can't find the right combination to accomplish what I'm looking for. If anyone could assist me, that would be much appreciated. |

It is awkward with so many 2-game series to make the matchup counts work out. There are a couple old versions with those criteria in https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=187196.

I believe I have 3 versions of the 2nd post (https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...75&postcount=3)
Would it be possible to get additional versions of each schedule? |

If the 2-game series for the interleague and 1 intraleague series makes things too difficult, what about this...
18 (9H/9A) against your division - 72 total 12 (6H/6A) against your league's other division - 60 total 3 (flips H/A every other year?) against the other league's 10 opponents - 30 total |

Awesome thank you for that! I'll add it to our other 3 versions.
Would it be possible to get a few versions of this? 18 (9H/9A) against your division - 72 total 12 (6H/6A) against your league's other division - 60 total 3 (flips H/A every other year?) against the other league's 10 opponents - 30 total Talking to the league and it seems like they might prefer this to eliminate the 2 game series. |

I've been attempting to do so myself with the OOTP Schedule Generator tool found on the forum but my attempts keep having some teams not starting on opening day along with some not playing on the final few days on the season and I'm not sure how to fix that . Thanks and I really appreciate the help!

A way to keep the season the same length as current MLB would be to introduce some 4-game series. The way to do that would be to have each team go their 18 against one division opponent 10H/8A and against another division opponent 8H/10A. Preference between those two?

You are amazing. Thanks for both options. I'll discuss with the league and will let you know what we decide going forward. For me, I like the complete balance of home and away but definitely will see what the majority would like to see.

I also think that the extra 7 or so days isn't a big deal to keep the balanced home/away numbers.

Oh oops I completed missed the 2nd version was only against 1 interleague division. I know the league's preference is to play everyone in interleague or none at all (which I don't want lol).
Is there any way to make it work to have this variation have just 3 games against each interleague opponent instead of 6 games (home and away)? My thinking in this scenario, the home/away would flip each year for the interleague series. |

1. for the All-Star Game break, could we have 2 days of padding before and after the ASG for regular season games? 2. is it possible to never have an off-day on a Saturday (along with Friday and Sunday)? I'm alright with the season starting on the last Sunday of March as well to avoid going really far into October. |

You mention starting on Sunday, which makes it sound like things are offset by two days - if the season was starting on Sun then offdays would fall on Wed & Sat. Is that what you see? The files look correct there is Code:
start_day_of_week="6" For #1, it sounds like the you want a 5-day All-Star break as opposed to the 4-day break there now? If that is the case, I could move the All-Star Game either back or forward one day and adjust the next couple series in that direction to squeeze out the offday around them since that would now be taken by that extra day in the break.
