I think our calculation may deviate here or there, but basically it goes up for every out and every strikeout, and down for every H/W/R allowed

Seriously though, this is why I've found it pretty useful to try to prioritize defense with low ballpark factors over anything else, you never know when you're gonna get lucky. I'm still pretty low, but I've had at least 1 no hitter every season since starting this strategy

Yeah

Better defense makes it harder to get hits. The defense deserves at least some of the credit for no-hitters
