sub hitter slider and platoon rosters

i have the sub hitter slider maxed out, but the AI still doesnt replace my hitters with platoon spot counterpart when the opposite arm pitcher gets brought in the game enough.

How are others approaching this?

Should there be a platoon "check box" or separate slider?

It simply doesn't work. That's why you see teams cheating with the all lefty short staff.

Is that when they go with all LH SP, then pull them after 1-3 IP and go with all RHP in the bullpen?

yep. the pinch hit AI is not programmed to make substitutions that early in the game so it's really not handled well. it's a fairly blatant loophole to get around the intent behind the opener/follower system.

There is also a "favor L/R matchups" slider. I use it in combination with the "PH for position players" and it seems to work in the late innings.

yep late game pinch hit AI does work fine IMO. It's those super-early pitching changes that aren't handled well
