Ended the day tied after taking a 5-game skid while the Aqua Sox have reeled off 10 in a row and probably at least 12 once they finish off a team where Luis Severino is the ace.
Pitcher of the Month: Van Mungo. Dude is so good. Leading the league in Wins, Ks, FIP, and WAR. And this is in the same conference as 2 Perfect Pedros, 3 Perfect Doc Goodens, 4 Perfect Big Units, a Perfect Maddux, and a Perfect Clemens. The pitching in this conference is insane. |

The Hoggs finished April 16-10, tied for the division lead with the Windsor Jays. The Hoggs are 2 games below Pythag, with a bullpen that's blown a few games already, but the best rotation in the conference. Joe Medwick only started 11 games during the month (he's the LHP half of my LF platoon with Waner) but mashed 7 homers and 5 doubles in 21 hits for a slash-line of .429/.444/.959.

There's a Keuchel out there way better than the 84...

Corsairs went 14-12 in April 2 games back in 2nd, new additions Seaver and Bauer are 4-0 & 3-0 respectively.
Reavers are 13-13, Machado won Hitter of the Month going .333 8 HR 21 RS 21 RBI Switched Bunning from the #4 slot where he went 15-10 last season with Greinke who went 8-17 in the #1 slot. Now they are 1-5 and 4-0 in the new slots Subway Rats played to a 14-12 tune, only their second winning month since moving to Perfect last season, 1.5 out in 3rd place. Starters have been uncharacteristically mediocre so far but I am sure that will turn around over the course of the year. Hoping they'll beat a path to .500 and generate some PP's that give me good pulls. |

Yup, the 86 Keuchel. Best Gold starter in the game and only maybe a dozen or so better pitchers in the game. #1 in Movement among SP by a wide margin (96 to 84). Basically proof the Movement rules, because he's average in Stuff and Control.

Two of my teams(one silver and one diamond) are both at .500
My new main team is 16-10 and 5 games behind the division leader. I feel like they are under performing, but I always feel like that. I don't expect Albert Belle to lead the league in average but I expect better than a .183 average, especially since he is better against righties. He has only 19 hits but at least 10 of those have been home runs. Yadi seems to start slow every year and is betting .182 Last edited by Maddox; 01-29-2019 at 09:13 AM. |

I am amazed when I look at the AH sometimes. Like that Mo card for 2 million yesterday. I guess it was bought or the owner woke up and kept his automatic save.

Ahhh... Taking everyone's advise of stacking High Movement pitchers in a pitchers park and decent defense is really working out for me this year.
Green is definitely holding his own in CF after a year of training him up from 0. Lineup absolutely smashes RHP. If you haven't noticed. I'm trying to use as many Blue Jays or guys who played with Blue Jays at one point as possible with still fielding a decent team lol

Wow, I sure am having a hard time ditching this Jimmie Foxx card. It's a good DH, but I've upgraded.
7 auctions over the past 3 days, no bites. Last 5 is at 25K. I really would like these points and I might just have to out his BIN below the Last 5. |

And I don't know how many times I'm going to be burned by playing Sean Doolittle in Perfect Leagues. Even as a Lefty Specialist with low pitch count, he gets blown up or gets no one out every other game. On paper he's a top vL reliever in the game, but he must have some hidden Clutch rating of 0. Getting 8 outs on 16 batters (12 LH) is pathetic.
Wait a sec, why did the game give him 3 straight games when I've got so many better options? I've got Dave Roberts managing my team or something. Last edited by DonkeyKongSr; 01-29-2019 at 01:31 PM. |

A rare moment... My team is in a virtual tie for 1st in D351 (18-16 record). What's even more bizarre, is how this came to be. Our pitching and defense has always been in the #1-3 range, except the first time in diamond many seasons ago. Our offense is perennially the worst in the league. But so far this season, it's reversed. There have been no upgrades to my team so it's obviously not going to last, but it's been interesting to witness.

This month has been brutal after going 18-8 in April. The 14 circled games were vs. the 3 division leaders in the conference and they whooped me 3-11. They all have incredible rotations that slowed down my offense a ton. Hopefully I can turn things around at the end of the month here against somewhat softer teams.

Came home today to see the Hoboken Zephyrs riding a 9-game winning streak and now sharing the lead in the AC East in G321. Home/Road splits are quite something: 20-5 at home and 8-14 on the road. And yes, all of those 9 games they just won were at home. First road game during the streak is coming up next
