Even though I thought I have a pretty balance team with some good hitters and pitchers we can't seem to get anything going.

Okay, when your hitters don't score runs, what's the best you can do as a pitcher?

Rrrrrrrrrrright (In case you're wondering, a lead-off walk in the 7th kept him from perfection)

My Colonels got off to a hot start and are currently in first place at 22-10, two games ahead of sirpugg who has a great roster. I like my chances (as Tiger said).

Finally got logged in last night. We had a bit of a rough start, but managed to end the first month at .500. We've jumped off to a good start to May though only losing 1 game so far, and are just a couple games behind the 2 top teams in are division, one of which is all gold and diamonds, and the other is the same with 3 perfects on top. I'm currently up 2-1 in a 4 game series against the team with the perfects, so happy about that. I expect I will be trying to fight for the 2nd wildcard spot, but I'll be happy with the season as long as we get promoted.

In a strange twist from the entry pool, my team is doing pretty well offensively, and my pitching has had a rough start to the season. I'm hoping that eventually my staff overcomes that and gets back to pitching like they did last week.

Current lineup:

I am 26-11and hold a 2 and a half game lead. I knew this team would contend after watching them in the pre league last week. I have a wonderful Pitching staff , Arguably the greatest starting pitchers ever assembled with a 2.10 total Team Era. If I could hit I would have a chance to run away with my Division but I have lost 3 games already 1-0. Lol. I am a punch and Judy hitting team but that is how I assembled them and so far so good. Problem is.......I have gotten very attached to them all...

Absolute freefall has been achieved. 13-24 and dropping. Walt Dropo, Johnny Mize, and Robinson Cano (§%§/&$§/""!!!) were all killing it in the entry pool and now they can't harm a butterfly.

Porous pitching. Depressing defense. They all suck the cover off the baseballs.

Except for Cespedes and Torii Hunter I have no regular batters with an OPS+ over 100. And only three pitchers with an ERA under 3.70. And that after already recycling five guys this morning.

90 PP this month, and it is already the 13th!

What is happening!?

Started out 8-9, now we are 24-14 leading the division in the Tau Psi league. Didn't spend any money on this team and don't plan on it. Just grinding away.

Built the team around defense, and luckily so far it's paying dividends:

Except for the names it seems like you're talking about my team.

Honestly, I expected my team to hover around Gold Level, maybe even get to Diamond Level occasionally ... but apparently my team's future lies in the Bronze Level with occasional visits to the Silver Level

I plunked down $20, which was $20 more than I intended, but I wanted to create an all historical team and got a pretty bad draw on my 6 packs. Anyway, selling everything 2018 off I was able to put together a team using the AH after that initial investment. Anyway, it's a pretty good team despite no diamonds or perfects. Fighting Saints are 20-17.

logged in today to find my boys were riding high at 21-8 after the first few games of May.....

now if I could just ignore the current 12 game losing streak.... heh... can't win 'em all, but sheesh....

edit: losing streak finally snapped at 13 games.... on the plus side, I got 250 points for it...

Yup, it's not his All Time legend card but a 70 rated "record breaker" card...He has 23 stamina but 128 stuff so that makes for a decent lefty reliever....

Just spent 2,500 on Patrick Corbin and picked up a cheap but potentially effective reliever. Hopefully they both perform.

I am 35-11 and am starting to pull away. Looks like this is the team for life. I do not see how I will not win my Division this season. Only injuries would take me out and we have none so.....
This is going to be a nice fun and quiet season.....

Started the season at 8-9 and now sitting at 26-21 and 1.5 games back in the division. I like how my team is progressing, but man I need to make some adjustments in the bullpen. Haha

I got as high as 10 games over 500 earlier in the night and then went 4 and 6 in my last 10. I feel like the team is under performing. I am going to be patient. My pitching is really bad now. My offense is holding their own but could also be performing better.

I am 30-24. 2nd in my division but 6 games back but I am still in the lead in the wildcard race.

Do rosters expand in September? I'm going to guess "no," but I thought I'd ask.

Team recovered somewhat during the night, taking five of seven from the whale team in the division and doing okay otherwise to get back to 24-29, which is within a handful of both the division and the wild card.

But I would be really keen to know how my 98-rated Lindor can bat .223 with four homers and shaky fielding to boot. Get your **** together!!
