Player Opt outs

So it seems like player opt outs seem to be a big hit now days so I was wondering if this will be a player requirement in negotiations?
Not that it's a big deal I'm just curious to know.

I'd like an option to turn off opt outs. It's a big online league house rule

It won't ever be a "requirement" for players, but certainly the better players will tend to ask more for opt-outs. But as in real life, it's not like everyone puts on in their deals.

I have wondered, will a player truly demand an option? It's hard to tell sometimes. I'd love to see ootp one day emulate the FM player contract negotiation screen

Isn't it just called a player option in OOTP? All that would need to be changed is when you can offer the option.

After I posted this and read the first reply I immediately thought of that.

I guess the better question is can we do a 7 year deal and put the player option in year 3-4 and if he chooses to not take that option he then walks away or does the option have to be from year 3-4 to 7? Am I making sense?

Yes you're asking whether you can put the option anywhere in the contract as opposed to just in the last two years...I've been wondering that quite a bit myself it's a great question.
